Really? I followed Jillian pretty closely and I don't remember that one! That was coming right off Melissa Rycroft, so I guess it's possible.

I know Ali wanted an offer that didn't come.

Kaitlyn & Shawn never said anything about turned down a wedding. She also said yes she was offered for DWTS but it feel through which has been discussed here many times already

Kait & Shawn are almost at their 1 year and have surpassed mostly everyone's expectations including mine so they should just keep doing what they are doing and eventually when the time is right for them they will marry.

I had heard rumors also about Emily walking away from DWTS.

She's one I'd easily believe got an offer. I can also easily see how she wouldn't have been interested.

I am wondering why they cannot have enough time about wedding planning until now ? They seem they have the time for it . Coz that is what they are saying in public . Aside from being terrible of doing it . I don't see a problem if they are not rushing . That is okay. It seems every time they ask them about it they seem to joke most of it . Sometimes I am wondering why they can't admit in public no one is ready to be on that phase yet instead of joking around . Let us say some saying they might be waiting an offer to televise their wedding that is why they are not planning . It could be true . I wonder if they are not getting married at all and just live as engaged couple . Jmo

This is my POV only: Shawn comes from a broken home. K comes from a broken home. K's sister had a divorce with subsequent small children. Maybe K/S are mature enough to realize they need to take their time.
I give them credit on this whatever their reasoning. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I don't think they need to tell anyone why they're not planning a wedding. It's their business, and what they're doing seems to work for them. Maybe they just simply don't want to get married, or just not yet. IMO it doesn't make their relationship any less, it's just them.

I agree, I admire them for not planning a wedding if they don't want to. I also have no problem with them saying they are engaged and keeping the rock.

I'd prefer these couples take their time than rush into marriage.

^^ yes. Though both Jillian and Ali were able to keep their rings, despite not making it to the 2 year mark. Jillian and Ed broke up at just over a year; Ali and Roberto made it 18 months. The 2 year ring deal was in place by then, but for whatever reason Neil Lane/ABC/TPTB allowed those two to keep their rings. Kaitlyn is almost at the same point that Jilly was with Ed when things ended, so maybe she'd be allowed to keep her ring at this point (though I doubt Boothstowe is breaking up any day soon, so they very well may make it to that 2 year mark anyway.)
