Knowing what was coming .. After Ben telling her everything post finale .. Would be more than enough .. And reliving the pain of it as well .. for not watching .. No sense rubbing salt into those wounds

Herein lies the problem. Going into the finale, JoJo has largely resolved the conflict that she had, and in a way, she did it on her own without needing Ben. She let down her guard and told Ben that she loved him BEFORE Ben ever said that he loved her back.

Something to note: The F1 and F2 are now essentially on an equal playing field. The clue in the finale is that the F2 starts to falter in some way with the lead. Also, if the lead is sure about the other person (not second guessing his F1 at all), then we should see him pull away from the F2.

I remember vividly watching Chris skirt all the questions about Brooks by claiming ignorance. I'm with everyone here; I think that they watch it; they are coached to say that they didn't watch it to create the image desired. The dead giveaways post-season are body language, going back to a relatively normal life and job, and plans to move, wedding talk:



From my perspective, the couples that try a different arrangement are usually on shakier footing, even if they eventually work out.

IMO Lauren has looked sad in some of her pictures since around the middle-of-the-season. It's not a far leap to guess that she's watched the episodes and talked through everything with Ben. We have IGs of Lauren watching with Amanda and Emily.

This season is a perfect example of why the show doesn't work so often: The final couple has the odds stacked against them even if they can weather the airing of the show, the other relationships, the tabloids, and the harsh, harsh criticisms aimed at them. Even as the lead eliminates MOT contestants, they are still encouraged to dive deep into each relationship rather than ease up on the gas like you would in real life. For ex. If Ben F. had his way, most likely, he would have stopped dating all the other girls after the skinny dipping date with Courtney if not sooner. Add to that that some of the contestants and some of the leads have no interest in actually getting married and it explains the poor stats for successful franchise relationships.

With this season, though, I'm hoping that it all turns out great for everyone.

In case anyone is interested, Lauren Himle from this season recently did a podcast for a website. She gave some great details and she said that JoJo is one of the most gentle, sweet, kind and fun people she's ever met. She also seems to think JoJo is the best choice for the bachelorette. She thinks if she were to be the F2 girl, that she would be mentally over it by now, but the timing is tough for the F2 person. She didn't think Caila connected well enough with the audience. It was a pretty good listen:

I'm honestly not questioning the spoiler but just curious how people know for sure that the pictures released are in order? I mean logically going by the spoiler JoJo naturally would be first but who is to say just hypothetically that they didn't release the pics at random? It's so weird that way would give it away like that knowing there are avid viewers looking into that type of thing, then again maybe they just don't care. I really hope JoJo comes out of it with her head held high and I am hoping they aren't forcing her to pretend to act happy so the non spoiled yet internet using viewers don't catch on. I hope she is able to channel Becca from last year though it is different since Becca wasn't in love or didn't think she was in love with Chris the way JoJo does with Ben. The preview of her getting Ben to admit to her in that behind the bathroom door shot that he was also in love with Lauren was heartbreaking. If she is not F1 which seems most likely I would like her as Bachelorette but with US and RS saying it's Caila I won't hold my breath on that.

If she isn't F1 JoJo would be a great 'ette. She seems like such a well rounded person.... beauty, humor, maturity, intelligence and sensitivity. Whoever ends up as her F1 will be very lucky. She deserves much better than Chad.

I agree. I am not particularly invested in this season and have no issue with Lauren but I like the JoJo relationship better, it seems more real life and less sappy than the whole mutual "I don't feel good enough for you...." ping pong that is the Ben/Lauren relationship.

yeah his mom's reaction was very telling and IMO understandable. no matter who he picked it has got to sting at least a bit for the F1. I think Ben is doing his best now to try and make it up to her ie that statement about marrying his F1 immediately at the WTA "I'd marry her tomorrow...."

Ash, thanks for sharing this. Did Lauren essentially let the cat out of the bag about Jo? I also feel like the press around Caila is starting to turn. Was the media leak really testing the waters with Caila?

I find it absolutely fascinating that when the ILYs talk started, the assumption was that it must have been a slip up. Ben must have been drunk..etc. When that emotional "I love you" was sleuthed to be with Jojo, Ben all of the sudden sounded drunk. The producers made him say it, not once , not twice.. I lost count. The fact is, to this eternal F2 fan, by golly this is the first time ever that I feel validated. Sure Jojo will be blindsided, but at least she won't stand there and feel embarrassed for falling in love all by herself. Ben fell in love with her. Ben must have felt that his love for Lauren was stronger, or maybe she was a better match. He has his reasons. Maybe he followed his gut. It's been a good season over all!

I totally agree Lily. I've always felt, it's better than him not telling her how he really felt. There's nothing worse than when the contestant tells them they are falling in love only to be let go. They feel so foolish. Its' better to be loved, then not loved at all IMO.

I hadn't thought about it that way. I guess the rejection would be easier if the lead told you he was in love with you but just loved someone else more than for him to just say he was in love with someone else and feel like you deluded yourself.
