That is very interesting to read back. I amused myself today reading JP's first thread here and some of the posts in it were hilarious. It was funny reading some members first impressions of him, especially since a few of them are really hardcore JP fans now. :laughingoutlou

No kidding! I guess that just goes to prove that we should wait to give our predictions until we actually know these guys! :P

I know that's what I need to do. I'm horrible at picking out the F1 the first night, though I'm decent at picking out who will be the F2. Except this season. I thought Ryan would be the F2 for sure. After RS revealed who the F4 were, I remember being disappointed because I didn't remember who any of them were and I wasn't impressed with their glamour shots. I have to say they all looked better on the show. I actually thought Ames would be the F1 for some reason. I don't remember why. Then when RS revealed that Ben and JP were the F2, I was in disbelief. I didn't like either of them, especially Ben. Interesting how that changed. :laughingoutlou

Not me. His promo shot was really bad, not enough cupcakes in his life up until that point. Now that he is his cupcake supply going he is soooooo hott ! :missclap:

The glamour shots are always bad! Honestly, I don't understand how it's possible.. they seriously must have to go out of their way to make every single guy look weird and "off" in some way. It's mind-boggling! And that ridiculous blue background?! What is up with that? It's like a bad elementary-school photo!

Honestly, if they just gave a regular person a camera the photos would come out better.. so what gives? Are they bad on purpose? I can't see how they could all be that bad by accident.

eta: clearly one of the reasons they always look "off" is because of the retouching they do. I'm just trying to figure out why/how they do such a bad job with it.. it's like they take the guys and make them look not really human. I mean, they start out with bad shots but then it's like they "smooth them out" too much and it ends up looking really strange and stilted. Retouching is (sadly) pervasive in media, magazines, etc., so there's no excuse for them not knowing how to do it well.

My 7 year old could have taken a better picture of JP. I sure hope they did a people photo shoot. I would also love to see them to a fitness shoot. This is one hot couple and they are both so athletic!

My friend thinks his promo shot along with his bio were horrible on purpose. I guess to throw us off his trail but it didn't matter much to me because his edit was predominately good and I could see their chemistry and body language. Ashley's people cover was good so maybe they'll get it right with the couple too.

I can remember when i first came on this board it had to be at least after the 2nd episode as i had already formed my own opinion of JP , but i started reading his thread from the beginning before the show had actually started i believe almost nobody liked him and as the time moved on and by the time i finally reached the 2nd episode in reading everybody started having as JP would say Rave reviews . It was just funny to read how each episode the liking of JP got better and better.
