JP AND ASHLEY... "THE GREATEST LOVE STORY EVER TOLD"

Thanks for updating this wonder montage of their journey ( ), but do these last two below belong in it. Don't think either of these is when JP is on his way.

Ashley looked so gorgeous I added her pics , but I will update the Finale and ATFR epiodes once I am able to get good quality SCs.I had to re upload all the SCs of the montage today because the previous montage was no longer viewable from Photobucket. I was upset when I saw those photobucket images instead of the SCs yesterday.

OK, that's perfect- ITA!! I really do think he told her he loved her on the beach during the day, and JP talked about how the day was so perfect. I also think they professed their love to one another in the FS, which is why they both were bubbling with excitement in their "ITMs" (which really were the morning after). However, I do think Ashley was trying to get JP to say ILY in the presence of cameras during dinner- hence that whole conversation about what it would take for their their relationship to progress (when JP said he was not looking for one particular thing).

This is why I don't think the ILY came until the FS. I think after he saw her in the long shirt that was the moment, but he waited until they were alone to tell her. We just don't see it on camera until the LCD.

On the beach I think he may have eluded to it, but didn't really come out and say it. If he did then the dinner conversation makes no sense.

I agree-- JP said that he wasn't looking for one particular thing but he wanted to wait until it was "right". I think what was "right" was that they were alone and in private for the first time. I absolutely think that he tells her he loves her when the cameras are not recording. It's not until the LCD that he tells her "officially", on camera, that he is madly in love with her. Ashley's reaction to his, on camera, profession is a soft and tende kiss but, I think that in the FS, he might have gotten a different reaction. And, that is not at all what I meant, but, you guys know what I'm saying!!

Looking back, now that we know, it's so obvious they both fell deeply in love in HK, and we're on their way before that, in the umbrella/beach scene. Beside the on screen visual of their love and passion, we got huge clues:

She practically tells him. "I don't want you to look back on our journey and have any questions". duh.

And he vblog, he practically told us" Good things to come for Ashley" duh

And his commentary watching the HTD. All of them, but "I AM very happy, MOM". duh

It was never hidden, and it is The Greatest Love Story Ever Told"

I'm sure this has already been discussed, but anybody remember Chris Harrison's blog for July 19? (It covered the hometown dates and gave us a second comment of "Ben and Ashley did not share a room" as if any of us should care... ha ha!)

As you saw in the previews there is a lot left, and did you hear what she said at the end of the teaser? “I fell in love… today marks the first day of my love story.”

I guess a "day" and a "chapter" in a notebook are not QUITE the same... or are they?

They have NOT been hiding the outcome at all... all season practically. We all thought it was way too obvious that he was getting the light guitar rift out of the limo, while nobody else was. Back in week #3, Harrison had that Freudian slip of saying JP twice in an interview. In the recent Extra interview (see video thread), it is pretty much out there that her "final one" is the one with the family criticism. In the abc video posted, we all can see it is JP, not Ben.

This season does, however, raise an interesting question. When does the Love Story begin? In episode #3, we hear the first day reference made before Bentley leaves, but many of us caught on that JP's first 1 on 1 date was that episode too. Early in #4 (Phuket) had the voice-over of "All along I’ve been thinking that Bentley was the guy that was going to be there in the end, but now I have a guy in mind. Maybe it will work better." Then we had the playful teasing on the hometown regarding the skating argument: which one of us will "fall" first? She "realizes" she is "falling" in Hong Kong, but doesn't say it to him. He is all "what do you think?" He tells his family that the first date was a first step and sometime between Phuket and Hong Kong, "it" happened. He tells Roy that "it" is definitely there, although he isn't 100% sure she has "it" yet. (I know I'm not wording everything exactly here.)

This brings me back to Harrison's blog. Obviously, the story officially begins when both tell the other (not that they even have to) and I guess he makes the first move either post-kayaking or with that notebook.

Interesting choice of words indeed. Hmmmmmm

Am I the only one that thinks when JP falls that he was trying to pull her down with him so she would land on top of him? If nothing else he intentionally fell I think.

I'm still sort of pissed that they cut so much of their date and showed Ryan. Talk about a waste of time.

I still don't think they are lying down though. The angle makes it hard to tell, but her legs look like their walking to me.

At first I also thought they were laying down, but now I do think they were walking into the water holding hand looking at each other. The shadow is her arm as she is walking. Love that moment.

JP's letter:

Doesn't the letter look a lot longer than what Ashley read? I wonder if the editors cut out certain parts.

That's exactly what I thought too! But I actually appreciate TPTB letting JP and Ash keep parts of it to themselves, so I can't begrudge them for that. Plus, it probably shares things that TPTB allowed behind the scenes anyways!

Just feeling all the JP and Ashley love today. Wanted to bring the most beautiful video that San made. And Ashley Spivey said that Ashley H. (and prob. JP) loved it. Watching it now, knowing Ashley H. watched it and loves it, brings tears to my eyes.

We go back to why then is that the favorite picture and not any from the FD before the cameras left? This picture starts the love notebook for them. It seems JP had his choice from a selection of pictures, and probably many scenes not on the screen. I see what you are saying about the dinner convo, though, so it's very confusing.

I'll have to go back and listen again, but I think he said something to the fact this was his fav picture on this one date. Be back.

Edit: OK, I am back. He said that was his favorite pic from that day. Who wants to guess what might be his favorite picture from the whole time.

My guess is either something from Victoria's Peak. the tram, or kissing on the beach in the rain in Thailand.
