San, I flipped it and it looks like they are walking (towards the water?). Maybe this is when JP whispered ILY? NO mic packs, right, don't see any. Just feel they said something very special to each other. There has to be a very special reason it's their favorite picture. ETA, yes so much like Ali and Roberto's.

I'm not San, Gina but-- I think I agree with her that they are lying on the beach. If you look at Ashley in the picture, her hair looks all spaid around her. The only way she'd get this by walking is if she were really jumping up and down and shaking her head. It also looks like JP's arms are straight beside his body. I think someone hit the nail on the head when they said it might have been a "From Here to Eternity" moment.... he had been laying on top of her, kissing and just rolled over to catch his breath, so to speak!

I completely agree also, and that is exactly the "visual" I needed to help me fill in the blanks on all of the (too hot) beach footage they did not share with us!

It is funny how they cut this scene out... during this speech... probably lopped & chopped, with me guessing the "in between" lines here:

Well, she did tell Chris Harrison: JP and I have this thing about being on beaches. Our relationship keeps progressing. It keeps moving forward on a beach and this was no different.

No clue what she's getting at here. All we had was this beach and Phuket.

She DID see an engagement on the Hong Kong beach with Ryan/Blake/Mickey/Ames/Dino/Ben and no JP. "Who's neeeeext?" (Well, Ben tries to get engaged...)

This is so much fun to try and figure the reason this is their fav. picture.

Ok, here's my thoughts . It was when they whispered to each other ILY, (cause no mic packs), so a special moment indeed and JP knew that would be the best picture to start "The Greatest Love Story Ever Told" book? And their FD later that evening was so hot, because they both verbalized how deeply they love each other on the beach in that picture.

OK, that's perfect- ITA!! I really do think he told her he loved her on the beach during the day, and JP talked about how the day was so perfect. I also think they professed their love to one another in the FS, which is why they both were bubbling with excitement in their "ITMs" (which really were the morning after). However, I do think Ashley was trying to get JP to say ILY in the presence of cameras during dinner- hence that whole conversation about what it would take for their their relationship to progress (when JP said he was not looking for one particular thing).

That is one weird pic. They sure LOOK like they are wading in the water close to the edge. Yes, her hair looks odd... but it could be the wind blowing. She is certainly not playing with it as usual. That shadow looks strange too. The shadows are limited because the sun must be shining directly above and perhaps the biggest shadow (below JP) is the sea plane flying low. The aerial cameraman may have shot with a zoom lens.

JBF, thanks, I asked upthread if anyone thought it was an aerial shot.

I see they had a blue blanket when they are sitting on the beach, and JP has a big beach towel and there is the palm tree. I don't doubt CC saying they are lying down on the sand, but wouldn't they have been on the beach blanket or at least a towel?
It's a mute point for me, now, because walking or lying down, it was some very special moment between the two of them.
