I'm commenting here so I don't get stones thrown at me in the Ben thread. After watching the whole new preview it was so hilarious that Ashley was seriously trying to get that mud all over Ben asap, then it shows her putting the mud on her own cheast no no touchy Ben!

I thought that too. Despite how it sounds, I don't get the impression it was all that romantic a setting for that date. Apparently the mud smells really bad too. And I noticed Ashley, just like when she applied the sunscreen to Ben, took a very clinical approach, and didn't really get into the sensuality of the act at all. And like you said, she made sure to cover her own chest before that "issue" came up again (must have felt funny after the fact about letting Ben touch her there with the sunscreen). In general, I often notice that while her words may be suggestive to Ben, her tone and actions don't match, which makes me think the producers are encouraging her to be more flirty/forward with him, maybe even suggesting things to say to him, but she really can't follow through with it, cause girl is in love with someone else!

Ever since I got a look at those awful shorts Ben is wearing, I had an inkling it wasn't JP in the sc. He wouldn't be caught dead in those things.

I don't see her actions matching with what she is saying either. So it must be TPTB interfering with the process. Unfortunate that Ben couldn't pick up on it as it could have saved him a lot of heartbreak.

The main reason I didn't think JP was Mud Man is when I watched it on my TV, over and over and over, it lacked PASSION! I would have been shocked if it had been JP. That is why I thought maybe it was Dino during the FD since I knew they had no chemistry and they were also visiting the Hot Springs.

Nothing is even close to JP and Ashley on the bed while she reads his love letter. They cut it, but who wants to bet the thanked him with passionate kisses? lol

Hopefully they don't cut out the kissing that went on after in the Finale.

Sorry, I just have to comment on the dichotomy of the discussion going on in this thread vs Ben's. Here we are discussing this tender heartfelt note JP wrote confessing his love for Ashley. In Ben's thread, they are discussing the merits of the "Storm Horse" video.

Yeah, what a tough choice it must have been for Ash looking for good husband material.

I agree with you SO completely, but I think the reason I always get "played" by this series is because I pick the guy I want to be with and the girl who is the most like me. If I was picking, Ben, Constantine, and the rest of the Shaggy Do's wouldn't have made it past night one. I was so crazy smitten by the JP - Ash story, but until last Monday I was convinced that I was going to end up doing this ... all night on August 1.

I do think JP is the most ready to be a husband. And he's almost too good to be true on that front in my eyes. But last year I couldn't believe that Ali would be willing to pass up that life and family on the Cape that Chris was promising. (I'm fully on the Aliberto train now, however.) Couldn't believe that ED could be the choice over sweet Reid. Absolutely gobsmacked that creepy Jesse was the choice over Jason. What's the MOST surprising to me is that I didn't think Ashley, of all Bachelorettes, would end up with her husband; I didn't even think she was close to wanting to look for him. And maybe that's why she's so confused at the end because the depth of her feelings for JP shock even her. I'm so proud of her for taking that risk! It's seriously so inspiring for me. I know it's just a crazy, stupid TV show, but it seems like JP and Ashley knew that too. I think they could have just left things at a surface level, and Ash probably would have ended up with the "safe" choice in Ben. But they both put it all the way out there, and left nothing on the line. I never do that, and I'm not even on TV. See why it's so inspiring to me?

I'm loving this season for so many reasons, but the best part is watching this love story, feeling it, and sharing it with so many others. Now we have all of these members who are in decades long relationships talking about how JPash remind them of their own love stories. It's turning me into a big ol' pile of goo! So thanks to JP and Ash for being willing to put up with this craziness for a chance at love, thanks to San and Love_Me for creating a site where I can be part of the craziness, and thanks for all of you for sharing it with me!

This has been my favorite season of the Bachelor/ette series. I admit I was not a big fan of Ashley and was not too excited about her being the Bachelorette,but she won me over and I fell in love with JP and wanted him for her. I was terribly disapponted with her Bentley obsession but she totally redeemed herself when she realized she had a real treasure in JP and never let go of him.How could she,?JP has all the qualities of a great lover, friend and husband.Excellent choice, Ashley.Thank you for a truly great and heartwarming love story.

I cannot wait for Monday and Tuesday.I actually took a day off on Tuesday to be able to fully enjoy and immerse myself in cupcake love and media blitz. :D

, Bing, we are such hopeless romantics. I took Tuesday off too, so I can watch Jimmy Kimmell and stay up on night partying here with y'all, and watch them again early on Regis and Kelly. This is, as JP said, "The Greatest Love Story Ever Told"
