Doubt they will ever surpass this season as far as the audience going along on the lovetrain or a guy like JP. When they are together, like Chris H. said, they are in their own little world. What cameras and production crew? ~ they are oblivious to it, esp. JP and most guys are not like that. Ryan Sutter comes closest, but JP is way ahead on it. imo

Sorry, I just have to comment on the dichotomy of the discussion going on in this thread vs Ben's. Here we are discussing this tender heartfelt note JP wrote confessing his love for Ashley. In Ben's thread, they are discussing the merits of the "Storm Horse" video.

Yeah, what a tough choice it must have been for Ash looking for good husband material.

I agree with you SO completely, but I think the reason I always get "played" by this series is because I pick the guy I want to be with and the girl who is the most like me. If I was picking, Ben, Constantine, and the rest of the Shaggy Do's wouldn't have made it past night one. I was so crazy smitten by the JP - Ash story, but until last Monday I was convinced that I was going to end up doing this ... all night on August 1.

I do think JP is the most ready to be a husband. And he's almost too good to be true on that front in my eyes. But last year I couldn't believe that Ali would be willing to pass up that life and family on the Cape that Chris was promising. (I'm fully on the Aliberto train now, however.) Couldn't believe that ED could be the choice over sweet Reid. Absolutely gobsmacked that creepy Jesse was the choice over Jason. What's the MOST surprising to me is that I didn't think Ashley, of all Bachelorettes, would end up with her husband; I didn't even think she was close to wanting to look for him. And maybe that's why she's so confused at the end because the depth of her feelings for JP shock even her. I'm so proud of her for taking that risk! It's seriously so inspiring for me. I know it's just a crazy, stupid TV show, but it seems like JP and Ashley knew that too. I think they could have just left things at a surface level, and Ash probably would have ended up with the "safe" choice in Ben. But they both put it all the way out there, and left nothing on the line. I never do that, and I'm not even on TV. See why it's so inspiring to me?

I'm loving this season for so many reasons, but the best part is watching this love story, feeling it, and sharing it with so many others. Now we have all of these members who are in decades long relationships talking about how JPash remind them of their own love stories. It's turning me into a big ol' pile of goo! So thanks to JP and Ash for being willing to put up with this craziness for a chance at love, thanks to San and Love_Me for creating a site where I can be part of the craziness, and thanks for all of you for sharing it with me!

Had to highlight my favorite parts... I too was yelling "Charge!" for Reid two years ago, then yelled "Retreat!" after the Fantasy Date Dumping. Chris L. was edited as the Amazing Husband, while the whole Aliberto Story was left mostly on the cutting room floor... restricted to cute "hot" discussions until the final two episodes, when we finally, finally, finally got to see "IT". That was all because Fleiss was completely OBSESSED with the spoilers, of course. This season, they pretty much fed it all to Reality Steve (so it appears) since Bentley provided all of the Drama they needed.

Whether or not the "Whole Point" of this season was to just prove to Ashley's family that Jordan IS the Real Deal, I guess we have to be eternally thankful that we got the Complete Love Story this season. The only smokescreens this time were Bentley and the Travelogue Footage. Everything we wanted to see was there.

Once again, that My Dearest Ashley letter turned me into Massive Goo today.

Did you guys see on aother thread that in the description for the ATFR show they originally had that her sister (who was one of the obsticles to their relationship) was a surprise guest? LOL Then they took it out. Too funny.
