Caila gave a series of very strange answers with very long pauses like: "For me, right now, I feel like I love you ... but I don't know why I can't ... share. Maybe it's just that I'm not ready," and the crown jewel: "I feel like my greatest fear is that I can't totally completely fall in love with somebody. And part of me is afraid because your greatest fear is being unlovable, and my greatest fear might be breaking your heart. It doesn't feel right. It feels like I'm going to hurt you."

"I know that I'm falling in love because I feel like I'm being understood," Caila continued (which was funny, because Ben had never looked more confused). "I want to feel understood. And I feel like I understand you in a deeper way. Just in who you are as a person. I feel like you want other people to be loved. And that resonates with me, and that's what I'm looking for in life. I feel like I want you in my life and I feel happy," – Does anybody talk like this in real life? This was like Pinterest quotes gone wrong.

Ben made a bold choice by deciding to take Caila on a second one-on-one date. There are no rules when you’re the Bachelor, and sometimes you just have to go with your gut. His date with Caila the first week was his first date of the season, and I feel like maybe he was starting to really want to work through some of his more prominent relationships before figuring out the ones that had been taking a back seat for a while. Leah had always been very easy for him to be around, but she never really made too huge an impression. For that reason, I understood that Ben felt it more pressing to deal with his feelings for Caila, and it’s pretty clear that he was right.

As Leah was home lamenting, understandably, Caila was really having an emotional breakthrough. At first glance, some of what she had to say may have seemed confusing, but Caila is really a complicated woman and for her to feel understood in that way is something she really needs. I think she feels that Ben really understands her and that’s why those feelings of love are creeping in. Everyone is different and every relationship is different, and Ben and Caila’s relationship in particular is taking on a much more dynamic turn. We can all look forward to seeing where that goes next week.
