Another interpretation of the "in my head" comment is that, as this is day 2 of the argument, the thoughts/doubts that Chrystie already expressed to Ash about JP the day before are now in Ash's head and she has no doubt been thinking about them nonstop since. So maybe she's just telling her sister that she already has heard her complaints and she's trying to process them, and wondering why her sister still has to be so bitchy about it.

Thoughts in her head could be as simple as she cannot believe she found this rare gem of a guy and he's so love with her and she loves him back. With some of her insecurities, which TPTB capitalized on during the show, she must be pinching herself and almost questioning how her dreams came true on this show, as it's not usually the case. So she's extremely emotional about it. All these years, only Trista, Ali and now Ashley smart enough to realize these are men you marry and love for a lifetime. jmo

I think so and it looks like she's going over in her mind what she will say. IMO, he got down on his knee too fast and shocked her and she was speechless at that point, kinda like Jillian when Reid abruptly got down on his knee, before she could stop him, she was shocked too.

You bring up a good point, I wonder what her facial expression(s) will actually be during the moments before Ben starts talking and then drops to his knee. Was he so in the moment that he didn't even notice her grim face? Or was she like Deanna, who greeted Jason with a big smile and hugged and kissed him before he began his proposal? While we're on the subject, I also remember Jilly putting her hand on her heart and sighing when she saw Reid, and him commenting that he was sure after seeing her do so that "I got this". no no
