Becca Tilly - Bachelor 20 - #3 - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

Well she sure is getting a lot of photo ops, invites to things from going back on the show again so I guess it all worked out pretty well for her. I can't begrudge her pursuing the chance for publicity when it's offered and enjoying some once in a lifetime experiences.  I just hope she doesn't keep chasing it in embarrassing ways like so many do once the number of photo ops fades. Good luck to her, but I'm really not a fan anymore.  Final nail has been hammered into that coffin. Sigh.

I mentioned the Becca and Andi friendship because the have so much in common.  They are both professional Reality TV D List Fame Chasers.  Famous for going on a dating show.

Now Seabear... that's not all Becca brings to the table. Her brother-in-law was in the NFL for a minute & she "dated" a guy that was on The Voice 3 1/2 years ago. 

Becca's sister, Katie, just gave birth to another baby boy. So Becca now has another nephew.

Good for her! I really don't mind the fame/opportunities/etc that any of these contestants go for or have and I say more power to them! I think it's great that Becca can have even a Nicholas Spark's movie "The Choice" telling Ben to pick Becca. Becca also has more fans than ever before and tons of support from fellow Bach alum (and ones who are not controversial at all, including golden couple SeanCat) and praise by Ben in his blogs as well as producers and crew and the show itself. To have all that and not have to sex her way there (hello Kim Kardashian), good for her! If Becca wants to be in the public eye or do appearances or the like at least she is not giving up on some major Degree or career to do so like others have and may do so themselves. That's what I admire about her - she doesn't and hasn't had to give up anything to be "famous" so to me she is a heck of a lot smarter than those who trade in their degrees or careers for their chance on TV/fame. She has her same job, same close friends, and has all this other stuff as a bonus! To all that, again I say, good for her

But the ones who have degrees and careers actually did something to accomplish them. Becca gets no credit from me for never having applied herself really since high school (did I read that here?). The 'others' will still fall back on the hard work and education they presumably put the time/money/work in for.

Didn't she drop out of college? Then, she quit her job to move to LA and be a professional d-lister.

I have no issues with people who aren't inclined academically, but work towards something! She's just drifting through life and it's so hard to have respect for people like that.

Well I have respect for anyone who hasn't done something to lose it. Not having ambition doesn't qualify for that. Not everyone has it and it's not something you can just buy from a shop. It needs to come from within. If it doesn't then what's wrong with just enjoying the small things in life? Who does it harm? All this need to achieve things and work hard is a pretty new phenomenon in the history of mankind. We used to work to live, not live to work, and I find it ludicrous that the less actual work there is to be done, the more people are expected to stretch themselves. Becca can enjoy her life any way she wishes as long as she's not hurting anyone. JMO.

I would never trade in my hard earned degrees for a quick chance at fleeting fame or appearances or using SM for a fashion blog/shiller. I also don't see someone with degrees as "better" than someone else who doesn't have them. Good on Becca for not wasting money and time on a degree that she may throw away or not want. As for "something to fall back on" Becca doesn't need to fall back on anything as she has a stable and flexible job and has been able to take care of herself for years and not even two stints on TB has changed that.

All in all, Becca is able to live her life in a very balanced way because she hasn't spent $$$$$ getting a degree only to end up on The Bachelor show like many of these other girls. It's why I see them as much more fame-seeking and sellouts than someone like Becca and I actually see Becca as smarter in that sense. For her it's been nothing but a positive experience overall - twice. A small minority of viewers don't care for her but the majority do and the pros outweigh the cons for Becca that she went on the show again, imo.

Well, I think that those girls that spent $$$ getting a degree can go back to their jobs after all this and lead lives where they contribute to society and have something to be proud of, other than dating a random guy on TV one time. Becca, on the other hand, has probably a couple of months at most left of her fleeting fame. After that, all these opportunities to shill products on IG and be invited to do appearances are going to dry up. And, she's going to be left with nothing. It's exactly what started happening after Chris's season, where you could tell from her periscopes that she was jealous that the attention was starting to move on to Kaitlyn and her fellow contestants on BIP. It's mostly likely the reason she did Ben's season. It's just a sad, sad way to live. IMO, of course.

Can't live like a z-lister forever.

I think she asked to come back to Bens season .. Knowing both of their value systems .. On paper .. They are a good match..l
