Becca Tilly - Bachelor 20 - #3 - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

I just can't believe people think she's gunning for the Bachelorette gig after how she reacted on SM when she was sent home. Didn't she tweet RS? And then spelled out that she's in the back of a van. I doubt TPTB were very happy with that. You'd think she would be more co-operative if she was hoping to become their puppet. Seemed to me like she was truly upset and not giving a damn at that point.

I think she really liked Ben and if nothing else, really wanted her family to meet him and I can't blame her - Ben is the guy you want to take home to family.
Anyway, I hope Becca finds someone like Ben someday.

Something happened where Becca was supposed to get HTD (and thus led to believe she'd be at least F4, shot at the coveted F3 for being next lead) and there was a last minute change in plans. IMO she was pi**ed at TPTB for the switcheroo and didn't give a d**n, at least in that moment, what TPTB thought of her SM posts.

Yup. I remember reading that and thinking she just clued in that things weren't going the way she had been told they would. Never count your chickens before they're hatched...particularly when MF is laying them!

Just saw that picture and don't see much love happening there from Ben. He is just standing there and she seems to be trying to drape herself on him.

I think this was sleuthed before but my feeble memory can't recall. Was CH's "this changes everything" comment, which I previously dismissed as his usual hyperbole, at the RC where Becca was let go?

I don't think that's a plausible explanation. If the Bachelorette gig was all she was after, then she wouldn't ruin her remaining chances, however small, in the heat of the moment. I prefer to use Occam's razor in these matters.

For me personally, I am going to take Ben at his word and because I have no doubt that she is sincere. And I really couldn't care less about who is gunning for the Bette gig - they all do if that is the case so it doesn't change my mind about Becca at all. I am just tired of the overly sexy types that can come with leads like Kaitlyn and those similar in any way shape or form and would love to watch a US Bette who is described as "sincere" just like the Bette Australia (who actually Becca reminds me more of and was the best Bette for me ever because she was sincere rather than trying to ham it up for the cameras). I want someone who wants to get married as their end goal - not just be the Bette for fun and adventure and a "bonus" love story while they sleep their way to a FRC. If the show could get guys like Ben on it then I can see them getting more guys like him for someone who is not overly sexified or "Sexy" - it's all up to them and what they want. Either way, I hope she finds her own Ben one day. JMO

Becca may have liked Ben but still think primarily she was in it for the chance to be lead. It had to have upset her when she knew she was probably out of it when he let her go before the HTDs.

I don't think that she was every really in his f4. He's already closer to Lauren B, Caila, & Jojo and has a date with Amanda next. At this point in the show I think she's in the middle of the pack.

I agree! I'm extremely biased, but I've been saying that she was genuine since day one, based on what I knew/was told by people who knew. There's a VERY good chance that many others will see how genuine she was when she gets sent home. I will just leave it at that. As for the "falling in love" comment, that's something to keep an eye on. Like I said, IMO, y'all will see how genuine she was when she gets sent home.

As for the HTD, I'm going to be extremely careful with what I say, but in short, there were people in the know who believed it was a certainty. There's no doubt about that. There are people in the know who have a good idea why the plans fell through, but that doesn't matter at this point. And contrary to what RS posted, her sisters DID NOT run their mouths about it, that I can promise you.

Thank you for sharing, DA.  There are some of us that still are team Becca and feel she is genuine.  Becca's first love might possibly be Ben.  That's very sweet and I can see why!  

I'd call it silly. She had one 1-on-1 date with the guy. He's not her first love.
