IMO, she was saying exactly what she was because the beginning of her relationship with Ben was further along than the ending of her relationship with Chris Soules.

On their first date Ben tackled all the big issues and talked to Becca about them. First date - they had a deep and meaningful talk about all the stuff Becca only got to at the end of the season with CS. It's a totally different trajectory, imo, and Becca started at a place with Ben that she never even really got to with CS.

She HAD to have this big meaningful talk to justify being on the show again and to show how she has changed....so she could audition for the Bette. Everyone has their own opinions, but all I saw was Ben dutifully asking the questions that set up her storyline and Becca trying hard to show how much she has changed since the last time. She is all about making out now, forget about just holding hands. That is so yesterday!

Becca's reaction to when Ben he did that fake, about to propose stunt at the start of that date told me all I needed to know. She looked panicked. I mean come on. This is her second time. She knows what kind of stunts they pull and she still panicked at the mere possibility. No way is that girl ready for any kind of relationship no matter what she says. Yes, she likes Ben. He likes her, but I still don't think he wanted her there. The more I see of her, the more I see her as immature and in love with the idea of being in love...or the idea of being the Bette.

IMO, Ben himself was the one that HAD to have this conversation since, like he explicitly stated in his blog, he wanted to tackle the big issues first and ask the big questions first to see if Becca was someone he could see himself with especially since he didn't want to fall for someone who wouldn't want to commit or reciprocate those feelings. He stated this almost word for word in his blog today. If TPTB wanted they could have made her wait for that conversation and made things way, way more awkward but they didn't. Her date wasn't even on the radar of awkward when it came to the episode and was one of the more real conversations shown.

Ultimately, I believe what Ben is saying in his blogs. About ALL the girls. He is very candid and open and I don't feel like it is being fed to him or PC or BS. Ben is a nice guy but he doesn't spin his wheels either - he is a straight shooter where it matters and if he didn't want her there he would let that be known. He took the time to state and show his own thoughts and feelings in his blog and Ben didn't need to say any of that at all in his blogs about Becca, about her being special and about how he could see her as someone to be with even though initially he had doubts. If she's not in the running and she's not F1 there's no need to say all that especially since he doesn't bother saying any of that for Olivia and not about some of the other girls either.

To me it is quite simply a case of a girl who has grown from her last year experience as Ben himself and even CH said and went onto a show where she had no secrets so she didn't have to hold back or be scared of what people might think about being a virgin. And any issues Ben had he addressed with her the first date. She never brought it up, Ben did. I don't believe he is lying at all by saying he wanted to do so. I really think Ben does think Becca is exactly this and cares about her as a person. There's nothing he has indicated on the show or off the show that he thinks Becca as anything other than in a positive light. jmo

From the day she walked into the mansion I knew there was something special about Becca. I know Chris Soules felt it, too, and when you are in the same room with Becca it is undeniable.

Yup.  And I don't doubt her exit this time will be full of tears and emotion to contrast with her stoic, non-reaction of "whatevs" last time.  Maybe even they'll get an "I am in love with Ben" out of her this time. And she'll be a shocked heartbroken rejectee instead of a composed woman TPTB couldn't manipulate last time. All great for the audition reel, maybe not so great for seeming like a genuine person though.

I think if Becca was genuinely not in love with CS and didn't pretend then with fake tears then if she genuinely has feelings she will let those happen. I don't see it as an audition reel or that she is not a genuine person - just someone who was more invested earlier on with someone much, much more desirable as a lead and someone who was at her level on their very first date and breaking through her walls and asking the big questions that CS only got to at FD/LCD. It's not that much of a stretch that Becca had real feelings and thus would have a real reaction. And speaking of tears, heck, even Caila was sobbing away after her date in Ep 3 so Becca crying at F5 is a much better spot, imo, to get to that level of crying and still be seen as genuine. jmo

I am extremely fatigued with the Becca storyline.  This seasons Becca just tries to hard.  I can't handle a third consecutive season of Becca.  Next.....

I was bored by her 1 on 1 and what I considered the fakeness\acting of the whole date. A whole season of Becca as lead? No thanks. I don't personally think she is being considered for next lead, but just in case, I'll start looking at paint colors in case I have to spend my Monday nights watching paint dry as my alternative entertainment to watching a season of Becca as lead. JMO

I'm late to the party, but I just watched last night's episode. I thought Ben and Becca had a great date. They had fun, but they also had serious conversations. He was very sweet to her. I may be in the minority, but I think she has a great personality. She is very likable. I think she would make a great 'ette, but based on the history of this show, I can't see her making out with multiple men. As for her comment about feeling so much more at this point than with Chris, I didn't take that as her slamming him, but rather that she has more in common with Ben, mainly their Christian faith. Becca will find someone incredible someday!

I saw some tongue action going on when they were kissing, so I think they were both feeling it.

Just watched the episode and i don't know But I think Becca has lost some of her appeal from last season. She didn't looked as attractive and genuine and authentic as last year. Her answers seems rehearsed, and it was as if she was trying hard to show a more intimate side.

I was just surprised tho about Benny giving her the tongue, and the camera making sure to zoom in. But then again Benny has been very generous with the kissing not sure who he hasn't kissed at this point. Whew!
