Becca Tilly - Bachelor 20 - #3 - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

I think it might just be a "you're being considered for the lead, so be available for all future meetings and obligations, but understand you might not get the gig" type of thing. Definitely not a final contract, but something to ensure that negotiations go smoothly. I know that Molly, on her radio station, said she had it on good authority that Becca signed something last year regarding being the lead too so it's not just RS saying that.

Ugh, I still wish it was Arie instead of Farmer Douche.

Maybe it's a contract saying that you can't go complaining around SM and tabloids if you don't get chosen? Like a confidentiality agreement regarding the casting process of the next lead. Perhaps they decided to make them sign something like that after all that talk about Arie being strung along and made to think he's got the job. It may seem futile, but then again, it hardly takes much effort to make them sign a piece of paper. Might as well, if there's any potential benefit from it.

I also remember someone on here saying Becca signed something along with a few others. Clearly it wasn't anything promising her the gig, if she knew others had signed it as well.

I was hoping that Marcus or Brian was the Bachelor. Farmer couldn't put 2 sentences together and Arie didn't seem to have the best reputation. But they did one hell of a job making Farmer out to be the greatest guy ever by hiding his history of arrests and making it seem like he wrote those love notes, when I guarantee it was a producer. He was just too boring and not capable of forming sentences.

You would think that in the discussion of being lead\negotiation process, SOMEONE would have noticed CS talks like a toddler who hasn't yet learned to speak in complete sentences, and that perhaps that would make for less than riveting TV where the lead has to talk a lot. Or at least realize they would need to hire extra crew for cue cards because they would need him to read all of his lines for the season.

It makes sense why he wasn't shown that much on Andi's season though. They didn't want us figuring that out until it was too late.

I think that he was going to be the Bachelor, or at the very least, one of the top 2-3 candidates, from the second he was cast. TPTB probably fell in love with him because he was a farmer (not the norm) and a millionaire.

Oh, what might have been!  A season of Arie! I don't know what the TPTB saw in the idiot farmer to make them think he was a better choice.  

Since this is Becca's thread... Anyone else think she'd have been just as happy and only there because it was Arie as she was for Chris or Ben?   And since Jubilee messaging Ben caused such a reaction from her, what do you think her reaction would've been to hearing about or observing one of Arie's girl up against the wall, hand in hair, kisses or make out sessions.  Or her reaction if he'd tried it with her?  

If she had been on an Arie season I'd like to think he would've brought out a passionate side of her (if it even exists) but she probably would've either been gone the first night or a MOT contestant. I'm sure she would've clutched her pearls if she ever witnessed his moves.
