Becca Tilly - Bachelor 20 - #3 - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

Regarding the Jared rumor: I couldn't care less if Becca blew Jared off to go on TB. Caila dumped her boyfriend to do the same, which to me is worse than someone Becca didn't even date. Not to mention, imo, it's definitely not as bad as Amanda leaving her little ones for TB.

None of that is relevant to each other though. It's a cop out to say "oh well I'm not mad at her because this person did this and that." Her situation has nothing to do with the other girls' situations. The guys are probably mad that both of their friends were being "played". They're all really close, sooo...

It's totally relevant and not a cop out at all, IMO, especially since it is just a rumor and relating to prior to the filming.
Compare and contrast is totally relevant in this case since it's also based on what contestants (supposedly) did before going on the show.

It's my opinion that Becca's reasons for going on the show are no worse than anyone else's reasons - even if made out to be.
In fact, it is my opinion, that a rumor (we didn't hear this from Jared's mouth) of standing up Jared is not as bad as dumping one's boyfriend (heard from Caila's mouth and corroborated by people that know her on this very forum) and also know that Amanda went on the show and left her kids behind.

To me, using this logic makes zero sense since Caila gets defended for dumping her boyfriend but that's not near the level of someone blowing off someone they never even dated in the first place. If that logic was used, then Caila would be much more disliked considering her actions prior to going on the show. That she is not but Becca gets derided for something that is made to be a bigger deal (or compounded just with other stuff) shows me that bias is there, which is fine, but it's illogical to have a positive reaction to Caila's decision while harboring a negative one for Becca, imo.

I think she's a receptionist at a chiropractors office, so it's probably not a very demanding job.

I was all believing in Becca going on the season for two reasons—to potentially begin a relationship with Ben or to be the next B'ette. I believe TPTB set her up in a good position to do so because:
1) they let her come on at the beginning of the season
2) they let got Amber to join her to take some of the heat off of her
3) she's still on the show AND makes it to Ep 7 DESPITE Ben's obvious displeasure seeing her show up on night 1.

Now I changed my mind and believe that Ben told her not to come on (no matter if RS brought it to light or not). And what is really bugging me (whether he told her or not) is the fact that Ben obviously didn't want her there from the look on his face!! and the guilty or sneaky vibe I'm getting from Becca watching her these last two episodes.

ETA: Want to add that it is pretty telling to me that both Ben and Nick seem to be giving her shade which is not a common practice by either of these two guys.

Ben not liking Becca was pretty much the overall sentiment especially since RS said that Ben didn't want Becca on the show at all and told her not to come - thus implicitly stating that Ben didn't like Becca. It was a huge discussion and pages and pages it went. :Nod: Also big discussion that it would all go downhill for her being on the show, worst thing ever, etc, etc.

So far? I see Ben liking Becca more than some of the other non-returnees and also don't see anything downhill for Becca being on the show. Becca has more fans than ever, including many non-spoiled viewers in Australia and NZ. Which goes to show, for me at least, that being spoiled sometime has an adverse impact since those viewers think that Ben does like Becca on the show and they also like her too.  

IMO, most of the negativity and criticism of Becca (which is a minority overall since viewers like her) is not based on the show itself but on RS, rumors/hearsay and the like even more than her being a returnee - because like Amber, both Becca and Amber are the quiet/non-drama girls on the show and Becca especially is well-liked and a fan favorite. It's why I like the non-US shows where there's not as much SM and definitely no RS to perpetuate stuff. It's just distracting to me overall from seeing what is on my screen. And so far things are positive, imo and that of non-spoiled viewers.

The sentiment I took from the many convos was that he wasn't romantically interested in Becca. Not that he didn't like her. And I stil don't think he was seriously interested in her at any point during filming, but there's still a lot of show to be watched I guess .
