Becca Tilly - Bachelor 20 - #3 - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

I definitely think she has a decent shot.
Let's look at her competition:

JoJo-Finished in 2nd, and unless they move the filming schedule, it's not going to be her.

Caila-There has been some talk that she was playing it up for the cameras, perhaps hinting that she's kind of fake?

Amanda-Single mom of not one, but two children...and very young children at that. That's something that the show hasn't done before. I can see how that might not appeal to a portion of the audience.

Really the only negative with Becca is that it would be her 3rd time and people would have "Becca overload."

There are plenty of negatives with Becca besides just that this would be her third show. But that alone is probably one of the biggest.

Granted, I'm biased. But what are some of the other negatives about Becca potentially being the next Bachelorette? No judgement on my end, I'm just curious.

IMO the biggest negative with Becca is that she would be as boring as watching paint dry. I just don't see her having the personality to carry the show as the lead. JMO

I don't think they will pick Becca and I will be disappointed if they do. This show is not a good fit for her JMO. Also, "Becca fatigue" is a significant factor.

For one, she's already said the show is right for her in that the timeline is so fast. I can't picture them picking a lead who feels that way about the timeline since that fact isn't changing. Also, she's never been in love. It would be very hard to sell that the very first time she falls in love is on this show. Not to mention the whole virgin status.

And her personality seems to be about as exciting as a white wall so that doesn't help.

TPTB have already started roughing out the next season of the 'Ette when they did the filming of TB last fall 2015. This is how they have been doing things for years. That is probably how Britt was slotted last year. Do they allow some flexibility? Of course. That is how Kaitlyn moved in.  
Rumors had Ben slotted for TB back in spring 2015 for TB 2016. Same with Chris Soules. 
So is Becca up for contention? Maybe. I guess it's how the public views her during TB and her fan following.  My money would be on who the F3 is slated to be for TB 2016. It seems that F3 and whatever contract is worked out their first season, has a better edge that a fan following, imo.

What we (or any normal logical person) consider negatives aren't always viewed as such by the producers.  I agree that Becca on CS's season bored me, the fact that she is very inexperienced relationship-wise, seems closed off emotionally and acknowledged the process wasn't for her (although I guarantee she will take back this statement now if asked) does not bode well for her actually making a relationship work with whoever she might choose if she were the lead (or if a lead chose her); however, whether any of these factors disqualify her from being the lead in the opinion of the producers is another story.  I actually could see them making the fact that she is a virgin into a big plot point on a Becca season, g-d help us.

I think if the overall BN reaction to her is positive during the season, she will be viewed by them as a legitimate contender for the next lead, regardless of how much we on this board disagree.

I have no doubt that Becca has been and will continue to be pushing for the job and that it was dangled in front of her to get her on Ben's season. As soon as she started saying that she wasn't that boring in real life I suspected as much. I also think tptb thought that she might be a good match for Ben and how good a storyline would it be...particularly juxtaposed with least season's sex overload...if the virgin was chosen? Unfortunately, Ben had other plans...although, perhaps fortunate for the viewing public.

As much as tptb may have wanted Becca for Ben's season, I don't necessarily think they want her for the next Bette. Yes, they probably did and will continue to dangle that carrot, but the only way that she will end up as the lead is that any other possible contestants decline the role or that the public hates everyone else. Highly unlikely.

I still think that Becca's edit will not be as sympathetic this season. She is out earlier when there are still more women to focus on and keep the attention from her. She is a returnee and we have been told that Ben was a goner midway through filming. When she was eliminated, she had that somewhat bitter tweet. My money is she knows it won't be all smooth sailing this season and will be wishing she had that boring edit again!

I agree. I've said it before, but it would be the perfect counterbalance to Kaitlyn's bunny ranch season.

I believe Becca thinks and probably was told that she was their first choice for lead which may be why she was so keen on doing the show. What I don't see is them wanting her for the part. She doesn't make for good tv IMO. She's far too laid back (read boring on camera), is a virgin which makes Bachelor selection that much harder, is a returnee and would mean 3 shows in a row which takes away from the viewer anticipation no matter what her edit is like, and the format doesn't work for her which means very little chance of an engagement. I can't imagine what the Rose Ceremonies would be like with her as lead. In any case, her going in 6th place makes it less likely than if she were in the f3 or even 4. JMO

How old is Becca? Serious question.
