Just my luck!.....I was in the right places but the wrong time - Stacy's Pharmacy/Soda Fountain & Lulu's within the last month!! If there's another season I gotta get a heads-up on filming locations 8)

Can't believe she sent Collin home! it's has to be Tribble - I just don't see her dating an Adam for very long.....super sweet guy though

But how could anyone possibly say goodbye to Adam? even if Tribble is more her guy.

2 Months is a LONG time for tv.... she's eliminating like 4 guys every time, I find it hard that they spent 2 months to film? That's longer than the Bachelor/ette then.

Going into the seventh episode of the CMT reality show “Sweet Home Alabama,” Birmingham had fifty percent of the field. Coming out, the same was true.

That was good news for bartender Tribble Reese, who advances to next week’s finale along with Tennessee horse trainer Adam Moyer. But the math wasn’t so great for landscaper Collin Varallo, who exited the show along with Hollywood entrepreneur Jason Maxim.

Also finished: The show’s fragile city-versus-country dynamic. Reese might be a Birmingham native whose website touts him as a “television personality, model and bartender extraordinaire” working in Atlanta, but as far as “Sweet Home Alabama’s” rules of engagement are concerned, that’s still “country.”

The show started with 10 Southerners and 10 “city boys” from other parts of the nation, all vying for the affections of University of Alabama student Devin Grissom. Maxim was the last of the city guys, and as he said before learning of his dismissal, “If she eliminates me tonight, then it’s just country, and she’s sticking to what she knows.”

With four dates to pack in, the episode had to cover a lot of ground. Viewers got to see the Olde Tyme Soda Fountain atmosphere of Stacey’s Rexall Drugs in Foley; a Baldwin County balloon festival; LuLu’s at Homeport Marina, where Lucy Buffett herself made a cameo; and Bellingrath Gardens.

Reese took on the novel gambit of inviting his mother, Diane Reese, and Grissom’s, Susan Grissom, to their date. It seemed to go well, but by the end of the day the show’s “Southern belle” was clearly feeling the burden of the decisions she had to make.

“It’s confusing because I have feelings for all these guys, and I guess I didn’t expect that,” she said.

Throughout the “Bachelorette”-style series, she’s been uneasy about hurting anyone’s feelings, which is problematic given that the format has required her to dump a whole bunch of suitors. Consequently, Varallo and Maxim were the latest to suffer death by euphemism.

“My biggest fear for all of this is like making a wrong decision. I know I’m letting a great guy go right now, but I’m more scared than anything that I’m letting the right guy go right now,” she told Varallo. “You don’t know how hard this is.”

“Jason, you scare me,” she told Maxim, looking stricken. “I mean, I fell for you. I’m not even going to lie, I really did. And, you know, when I’m with you, sometimes I just want to like leave and just like go ahead and go to L.A., just pack up and move right now, you know. I just, when I sit down and kind of take a step back and get away from you a little bit … My heart’s still in the South, and you know, in my heart of hearts I think this is where I belong, and I just don’t know if we could make it work. … I just don’t think that, right now, I don’t think I’m ready.”

Both Varallo and Maxim took it like men. Reese, meanwhile, was already looking to the future.

“The whole dynamic of the house has changed,” he mused as the episode ended. “There’s only two guys left. My best friend in the whole house is left with me, and we’re competing for the same girl.”
