I have nothing against Caila, so I'll still watch, just won't be as invested as I was with Ben.
Honestly though, I wanted it to be JoJo (or whoever the F2 is) just so that it would finally shut RS up about how the F2 can never be the B'ette etc He was so annoyingly insistent about it.

I don't really get the OTT reactions on sm. Caila seems perfectly nice and kind and gorgeous. She's just really unnatural in front of the camera IMO. And she seems quite naive. But it'll be a good season to watch because I won't be invested in her story.

Also, I remember when Ashley was first announced and there was a lot of negative responses from viewers who thought she was too hyper/too over the top, ect. And (IMO) she turned out to be one of the best leads in the entire franchise. So even though I think Caila was a bit flaky and at times ingenuine on Ben's season, I'm going to reserve full judgement of her until we get to see her in the role because I can see her having a similar trajectory to Ashley.
The leads who are really liked before the season starts usually have nowhere to go but down. The ones that may not be as popular can change peoples minds and go up.
You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.

Agree and now it feels like if they didn't make Jojo the bachelorette (that is so well liked and would have, IMO, been super at it) then they will never make the f2 the bachelorette… it sucks…
