The Bachelorette - Season 12 - Potential Lead - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

I think Caila and Amanda will have an equal shot at the lead. Almost as many F4 girls have been the lead as F3 girls and we've already had three single parent leads. I'd prefer not to see a single parent lead but I do think she'll be well-liked and have a good shot at it.

I thought Des was the only f4 girl to be lead?

Amanda's single parent status doesn't bother me at all. I guess she could take her kids with her.

Funny you should say that, because I happen to like Becca's personality and from what I've seen so far I suspect Caila's to be really fake. Nothing's more painful for me to watch than a fake personality. Andi was enough. Give me someone genuine for a change!

I don't see that as an option unless she takes her mom with her as well. She'll have so little time for them during filming that there's no point dragging them along. They're better off being cared for by their granny than some handler. I still think she shouldn't leave them again though, which sucks because I'll probably like her better than the other options.

I agree - I'm pretty introverted myself and I would hate that people think that makes me a bore I think that leads like Des and Emily were a lot more introverted and weren't the life of the the parties, like Kaitlyn or Jillian, but I really liked them.

I don't doubt that Caila is a really fun and outgoing person, but I also get the feeling she is going to be like Britt, just playing it up for the cameras. I hate that, because it just comes off so fake and insincere to me. I was a huge Becca fan during Chris's season, but some of her recent SC/periscope comments and activities disappointed me. I also honestly believe that the type of man she's looking for won't be found by The Bachelor's casting team. JMO.

I'm introverted as well and I'm probably a lot more like Becca than Caila in personality. With that said, I know someone like me doesn't make good TV and I would be a complete bore to watch. That doesn't bother me.

At the moment, I do prefer Caila for the lead. Perhaps I'll be annoyed by her like I was with Britt and find her fake when I see her onscreen and I'll change my mind. I just don't see anything I dislike about her yet.

I don't think you can be genuine and be the lead. It's just not possible. Being the lead requires you to play multiple people and say a bunch of things you don't really mean.

I really just want the lead to be entertaining and not over the top #blessed and #grateful and #humble because to me that's all sanctimonious blahblah BS. I'm all for normal, preferably fun and snarky girls. I hope one of these will deliver.

Bluwavs, that's true - I just mean being genuine in personality. I didn't feel like Britt was her true self; she always came off as "acting", being more animated and articulate than seemed normal. Say what you will about Kaitlyn (even as a fan, I can admit she she lied and deceived quite a bit), but I never felt like she was changing her personality on TV to get more camera time or to be more likable. That's kind of what I mean. You do have to lie and pretend as a lead, so I expect that and understand that.
