Yeah, they've had no problem casting for single parents before. And (from what I heard, didn't see it), Emily's season was one of the better ones. I think Amanda makes more sense than 24 year old Joelle.

Seems like casting would be a more difficult with 2 kids and an ex-husband though. Emily had the tragic back story they could sell, plus she could (pretend that she would) move anywhere for love. What if Lauren is the next 'ette? "On the Wings of Love", part 2.

But they did it for Emily, so it could happen. Dating I'm sure is really rough for her. At least maybe they could get some older guys if she ends up the lead. I think her friends are rooting for that.

Her friends are just rooting for her in general. In what ever way they can...they'll root for her. The #teamamanda and #teamamandaandben hashtags have already started. Lol

Joelle is not even a year younger than Amanda though. Amanda turned 25 in April and Joelle will turn 25 in either late November/early December. Plus, Joelle comes from/has money. I think this show likes their "rich" leads. Joelle has her own business, runs that children organization with her brothers, both of her parents are doctors.

I think it also depends what the fan reaction is to both. If people overwhelmingly LOVE Amanda and don't really like Joelle as much or vice versa. I just think in general they would get guys a little older for Amanda, even though she is just 25, because she is a mom

It would be difficult (2 kids vs 1 kid) but not impossible. It would all depend on her edit. Jason and JaunP also were single parents and theirs was not a tragic sob story.


Not sure if Amanda is in line to be next B'ette and would need to see more of how this has developed.

I just can't imagine being away from two small kids for this length of time and then doing it again for the 'ette. Plus all the being away to promote the show before and after. Doesn't make sense to me but then who knows.

I agree, my sister can barely leave her son for a night or 2 , so I don't really understand

Being a contestant is bad enough.
I am not convinced that being lead is her aim as so many are insinuating. TBD.
