The Bachelor 20 - Ben Higgins - F1 to F4 - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

Do F4 girls get some times off that is without mic & camera when they got back home to prepare the HTD? If so, not only the family would check out the spoiler/forums, but the F4 may actually do that by themselves too.

I'm thinking what I would do if I'm JoJo/Caila/Amanda, knowing Ben's going to pick Lauren during my HTD. That's funny to just think about this scanerio.

I don't think the contestants need spoilers to know what's going on. If Ben is as smitten as RS claims, they must be well aware

But as contestants, they don't always see Ben's interaction with Lauren. They may have some doubts, but I think if they really feel for Ben, the feeling and the bubble may cloud the mind. But if I get to see all those leaked pictures/video/information by my own eyes during my off time with the fam, it would be a totally different thing.

I don't know, just trying to think like them. But this is a crazy show, stranger thing has happened before.

I don't think they're allowed off camera time with the family..at all. Once they walk in that door the film is rolling and once they walk out the film is rolling. I don't even think they're allowed to mention "outside world" stuff to the contestants. Just so that they don't influence them or anything. The producers and filming crew probably have them on a tight leesh while with their families.

If I had a child going (never going to happen) I would be on this board and checking the RS site / his twitter for spoilers etc. Not sure how or why the families would not do otherwise. This is not a first generation show and everyone knows of both aspects - the show and the spoilers. At least everyone that applies to be on.

I said this upthread, I would have a shot gun and my questions for both Ben and the Producers ready. More so than other years.

If the family tells their daughter anything about Ben with Lauren on camera we'll never see it and doubt they'd do it. Now they can remind her that there are 3 others and I'd certainly do that but we really don't know anything right now so what if we're wrong? Way to ruin it for your daughter. I don't believe they get off camera time nor do the girls get their phones/tablets. Remember, they're in the bubble.

Just because we saw great chemistry between Ben & Lauren and no matter what RS says about it, we really don't know that she's going to be f1. First of all anything can happen on this show. She or Ben could get doubts or he's equally smitten with someone else. We may not know anything for sure until we can sleuth the season preview and even then that won't tell us who's the f1. I do think it will be her but the lead often has great chemistry with the f2 girl so you just never know. At this point we're all guessing.

I too doubt that they really have the time to tell their daughter that she is a sitting duck nor do I think the girls are allowed to get on the internet. But the families are probably aware of his tweet and may even be lurking here so I would think they all will be asking hard (er) questions.

Just to add : Joelles family has already been through this, they know the scoop since their son was the one dating multiple girls on a reality show just a couple of years ago so I'm guessing they will be the least hard with their questioning. Just a guess.

I think this is a very good question. It wasn't as big of a deal in the early days, before RS got many spoilers and so much was posted on SM. But what happens while there is down time for a contestant? And I'm not just talking this season. Let's say somebody's HTD isn't for 4 more days. What is happening during that time? Is she locked up in a hotel with a handler? Or does she (or he, during The Bachelorette) have freedom to do normal things? I figured at the very least the contestants are going to the salon to get their hair done, maybe nails. But are they being escorted, and kept away from the internet and any friends who might fill them in on what the rumors are?

I believe from what I have heard in the past they are with their handler the entire time. Has this changed? I do not know.

I believe the contestants are still secluded with a handler until it's their time for their HTD. They have no idea what's going on with the other HTD's. IMO keeping them away from everyone helps in making them go stir crazy and very emotional which makes for good ITM's

I would think the family are given a heads on on what not to say. We are pretty sure they are told what to say.

Ali Fedotowsky addressed the amount of time the contestants get when she was recapping Sean's season.

The girls see their families for the first time when they bring Sean home. It's an extremely emotional moment for everyone. And when the Bachelor leaves, the girls leave.
