In a way, I think it would actually be kinder to Amanda if she was taken to the F2 or F3. If I'm Amanda and I have two kids and I'm getting a HTD and then I get eliminated right after, I'm assuming I was just a storyline or it had something to do with me having kids. If I made it further than that, I would think maybe there was a chance the lead actually liked me.

Grace posted something a while back which I agree with - he gave her the rose to assure her place for HTs. He could have left her to find out at the RC but he didn't.  I see shades of Brads season here.
The little I know (very little tbh) of Ben tells me he is a stand up guy who is fully aware of his decision and action. Pretty sure this HT visit is not by accident, default or for show. He wants to date this girl, is letting her, the Internet and all of Warsaw know it by having her hold the rose at the most public date on this season.

Of course just like brad season i am in the sheer minoritywith what I am seeing.

My interpretation is that he had to take her to hometowns, because TPTB wanted him to, and had to have a date with her this episode, so he chose the least intimate one possible with the least amount of alone time possible. He was more concerned about his jacket being straight on the carousel than about being present for her. I don't see real interest no matter which way I look at it. Unless of course he's SO into her that he gets super awkward and shy around her. Somehow I doubt that considering his demeanor around Lauren. JMO.

You never know ND.  As we know, Brad had someone he had amazing chemistry and ease with too ( like the pics show with Ben and Lauren) and she wasn't the one he fell completely for.  Can't really tell the connection via pics.
