Rebecca after 8 episodes, besides her single date, I see nothing special. The kiss at the end of the rainbow fair was totally staged... right under the banner... like a fairytale kiss. Nobody kiss at this precise place IMO. Looked very producers oriented to me: "hey guys, it would be nice to have a thankyou goodbye kiss there... you are both actors, that should be easy right?" (ok the last part was mean but we know prods are manipulators to the core, so I would not be surprised.)

Do not get me wrong, if he picks Rebecca, good for him. They are both in the business so it will ease their relationship. But so far I see no vibes from rebecca, and a vague interest from Jordan. If they did not had this date, I would not even remember Rebecca's name to be honest.

I am truly fascinated to read your comments about why Rebecca besides being a nice girl like the others.

Imo She is quietly confident.

I don't mind Jordan's voice and didn't notice that he sounded like John Key (NZ Prime Minister for those non Kiwis) at all. And anyway - I like John Key.

I hope Rebecca is F1 - she's probably my favourite contestant. Who would you put in the top 4? And what do you think of Jordan? I like him - bad puns and dad jokes included.

I listened to the music during the rose ceremony and I couldn't hear anything different with Rebecca's music. There was a twinkling sound that several of the women received. Rebecca isn't following Jordan on Instagram. She isn't getting a lot of screen time. Rebecca doesn't seem to be putting herself out there and showing a strong interest in Jordan like some of the other women. Bachelor NZ Facebook/Twitter accounts focus mainly on Storm/Fleur/Naz. Storm/Fleur are frontrunners JMO

However I am most likely wrong, and Rebecca wins because she isn't needy...however she probably just won because that is what she studies....And he may be too stupid too see that! imo

I don't think Rebecca would have kissed Jordan during their date if she saw him only as a friend. Rebecca sees Jordan as a potential boyfriend. She's being realistic about the process. She wants to spend more time with him away from the other women to see how they interact with each other and then decide if it's a relationship she wants to pursue. The edit does remind me of former US Bachelor/Bachelorette's who've been hidden and then become the F1 JMO

@HEA I get the same vibe, but as you say she may be hidden until the end just to keep every one guessing. However, Jordan seems to have a strong connection to Naz albeit a physical one, also I noted one of her tweets this week saying " feelings still growing' eek !!!!! Rebecca is so sensible and grounded would she feel some sense of contempt for a man who could be hoodwinked by Naz. IMO. Just throwing that out there !!!!!

Naz is not a mean girl. She is just immature and high maintenance and can be easily influenced (Claudia said one thing and she trusted it immediately).

Jordan is also a guy guy. He dislike cat fights. Remember his ITM when he was clearly "calm down" when another girl wanted to interrupt his conversation with Naz. It was not because of Naz, it was more like this "stop the jealous BS interruption that has nothing to do with me".

I have this vibe that he truly likes calm and reserved women. So we have to look in that direction. Girl needs to have a sense of humor and be adventurous. Those are the main qualities he is looking for.

Rebecca and Fleur so far give me this vibe that they are exactly what he is looking for. Storm as well but IMO she is more insecure. One date and few kisses long ago and she's already upset. That means that Jordan did not give her enough attention in between to reassure her. Fleur decided to take a step back, more mature IMO and rebecca is not there yet, still IMO.

Jordan is a "protector". Once he likes somebody, he will come as a big brother. That is the feeling i have with Ceri and Naz.

Sarah, Gabs and Kate are on the next to go. Erin is a sweet girl, they have this sailing in common but will remain in the friend zone IMO. She came, for me, totally out of the blue after 7 episodes, not good.

I wonder how Fleur will react after Storm next single date.

Do we know who will be the 2nd single date? Could be rebecca since it has been a while too?

So - I've been pondering. And have come to the conclusion that there is something hinky going on with this season. Many of us have expressed this at some point since the beginning of the season.

First off there were the rumours that filming was delayed because of some issue with the contestants.

Then TBTB are still trying to pretend that filming is still ongoing when we know its not...

and then there is the Jordan media noshow...

and then there is the strange edit that is all over the place...

and then there is the obvious manipulations of the story - like blaming Rebecca's elimination on the "discovery" of the nature of her thesis when it's since come out that both the producers and Jordan knew about it for weeks, in fact, since their single date.

And - now that my rose coloured glassed have slipped down my nose I'm also questioning Jordan. He is coming across as quite contradictory. I can't get a gauge on what he is really after in a woman. We are over half way through the season and he hasn't let his guard down at all - he is still quite closed off. He's personable and says all the right things but where's the true romance? Where's the excitement? Where's the emotion? Is he bottling it all for the FR?

Kiwi men, in general, are known as not being overly demonstrative (probably could learn a thing or two from the French and Italians) but this season is becoming stale and banal.

I'm not expecting a BenLo romance and proposal but for goodness sake show some passion Jordan!

Just all my opinions/

I read a couple of interviews and my thoughts are:

Jordan and Naz have the same attitude toward medias: very low profile. Jordan responded saying that it is a terrible example for young generation. (which I totally agree)

it seems to me that few NZ medias are truly mean with some girls and even bachelor. Dani and Chrystal, even responded to them recently

Funny but the more and more I read, the more I am thinking that Naz is top 2.

Jordan dated Chrystal 5 or 6 years ago. Chrystal was very happy for Jordan and approved him as a bachelor saying he is a great guy.

Jordan made a couple of media interviews but he definitely keeps a low profile for now. It is very interesting that he he said that he understood that some girls reacted a certain way because of the particular environment. I, immediately thought that he wanted to defend Naz and Storm. Naz also said that she does not care about medias. I think she is tougher than most even if some bully comments must upset her.

Overall, it seems that most kiwis are upset to do not see Art's twin and they say that girls are very cautious because they all saw season 1 and know what to expect.

And I do not think it is fair to blame him for being who he is. Producers picked him. And it is also a bit unfair to blame him about rebecca's departure about the thesis. Rebecca does not. She said they talked about it many times and at the end of the day it is not Jordan who made the edits.
Of course if you put the bar very high, expectations are also high which is a bit unfair for Jordan as he is a different guy, with a different background, different physique etc

I think we will see him more in interviews soon. After all, things are getting serious only at top 4.

The only thing that makes me think Naz might be in the F2 is her tweeting more to come implying she is not going anywhere yet & Shari's painting placing both Naz & Storm by Jordan. I can only imagine how far producers will go to make it seem Naz could be F1 if that's the scenario...water cooler conversations all over NZ the weekend leading to the May 9th finale. Geez it's a cray cray scenario but we shall see....
