Whitney wasn't obvious to me because he ran off with Britt right in front of her and was pretty much pleading with Becca to come around imo. I agreed on Josh until Nick and his father purposely gave us the word (crunchy peanut butter) that we had asked them for. They clearly don't get this whole sleuthing thing, but whatever. Brad gave us an epic clue with Ricki's drawing on the frig. That's the best example of sleuthing the F1 I can think of. (MiniDiva) Des and Chris intentionally gave us little clues, but no slips or slam dunks... just lots of little stuff to add up. I want more of that.

True, Britt seemed like the frontrunner initially but after that, they made Whitney pretty obvious - she was the one that met his friends, she got the mural date, they only showed him asking her family for her hand, he showed only her his house, etc. That all was equivalent to JP introducing Nikki to his daughter. I never felt like Chris was that into Whitney, but for whatever reason, it seemed like he was pretty set on her half-way through (I think he admired and respected her and wanted to be with someone like that, but never actually fell for her). With Nick, off-screen was a slam dunk with Nick's airplane video and Josh appearing on Andi's favorites on SC. On-screen, it was a little bit harder because she seemed to have major chemistry with both, but I still think they made it obvious by giving Nick the "villain edit".

Des's season was the ultimate foil. That's why I think they got lazy after that with hiding the F1 - just because of Des's season, people are always going to be suspicious of the obvious even when there's no reason to be.

Aww I agree. I'm giving her, Caila and the rest of the women the benefit of the doubt.

I know it seems irrelevant now, but seriously, she was on IG for one day.  Most of the girls may need time to find her, etc.  

BTW, I really identified Emily O, since we both studied stroke for our PhDs, and I still thought she was a lying ninny for not admitting to Courtney that she was talking about her behind her back.  I was also pissed at CH for not calling Emily out on this behavior.  Courtney was a royal B, but it wasn't like the other girls were honest about things, instead they played the talk about her behind her back game.  That would get on my nerves too.

Except for Kelsey very few of the "villains" have been villainous to me, but rather the object of other people's jealousy.  JMO.

Emily O was my favorite. Courtney talked about all of them behind her back so she had no room to complain. Not really sure why we're talking about villains in Lauren's thread though.

We really don't know that Lauren was Ben's choice from early on. All we have is their 1 on 1 date and a lot of speculation. I don't count RS as proof. It will be interesting to watch and see if we can figure it out for ourselves.

Even RS said Ben made up his decision about Lauren about halfway in filming. It's very possible he was into someone else (like Chris/Britt or Ashley/Bentley) or was exploring all his options earlier on. Or, RS could be wrong entirely about Lauren being super obvious to everyone.

Personally, I think Chris ran out of options, but I can understand why you see it differently. It was an unfortunate season all around imo. Totally agree on Nikki and Shawn and agreed on Josh until the last minute Nick crunchy clues. I'm still kinda of dumbfounded with their motivation on that. I don't ever want to mock the members who built their cases though. Des and Chris' mileage is losing steam. Already, there're comments that might discourage folks from questioning Lauren as F1. TPTB need a foiler every 4 or 5 seasons imo. RS should not be the final word ever. I think TPTB are too burnt out on it to care or maybe as AAL said, they don't think it matters or even think it helps ratings. I think it's odd that GA got info on Caila before she even left Jamaica, but I have to agree that it's Lauren thus far. If the season starts and there are clues to the contrary, I hope members will post them. They may or may not amount to a different end, but I'm always interested to read the list. jmo.

I think K/S snapchat stopped most. I can't speak for others, but figuring out the F1 is my favorite part of the show. It's so disappointing that TBTP put so little effort into hiding it now and that the contestants and their families give it away on SM.   

I missed so many Bach and B'ette seasons that I was doing some catch-up so I've been watching knowing full well who the F1 is going to be and I actually found I prefer it this way. I enjoy diciphering their body language and facial expressions and seeing when the lead knows who is F1 is and if anyone else is a possibility or a threat to that relationship. I like watching to see if the other cast members give away if the F1 is obvious to them or not. I've enjoyed Kaitlyn's (2nd viewing), Jillian's, Andi's, Sean's, Art's (Bach NZ 1), Blake's (Bach AU 2), Sam W's (Bach AU 3) and Sam F's (B'ette AU 1) this way. It's kind of feels like I'm watching it from another angle if that makes sense.

^Comparing Whitney's mural date to Lauren's date at Rex's is relevant imo.

I'm glad you mentioned it. It never will be. This forum was created to sleuth based on a foundation of many experienced sleuthers. It was not created to bow down to RS.

All sleuthing points to Lauren as the F1. We didn't need RS to tell us anything. Just like we didn't need him to tell us Kaitlyn was single, when sleuthers knew better.

Sleuthers knew there was a connection as soon as we saw the interaction between Ben and Lauren. We had a poster that knew someone that was at Rex's, and indicated she was sweet and his friends really liked her. We saw the way he grabbed her face/neck when he kissed her, body language was very telling in that pic.

We know when the others returned home, and can conclude, at this point, Lauren may very well be the F1. However sleuthing never stops. This isn't about how many times RS is right, I don't care, and neither does the purpose of this forum. Perhaps he can create his own forum, so his followers can gush over him IDK, but it's not going to happen here.

This is not only my opinion, but rather than mandate of this forum.

Per RS, Lauren is F1 and they are engaged.

Also, he said that the "villains" are Lace and then Olivia, and that Caila will probably polarize viewers/might not get a great edit. So (IMO) the fuss about Lauren potentially not being liked by the others because of the IG follows isn't something to worry about and she'll probably get a good edit.

Congrats Lauren! Get ready to be trashed every where possible, yay, girl! In all seriousness, I'm excited to see another season with a slam dunk f1. I always love those.
