Olivia Caridi - Bachelor 20 - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

Regardless of any petty things Olivia said or did during filming she does NOT deserve this level of ridicule from TPTB.  Many of the other girls in the cast are gossiping, insecure, immature and petty.  Olivia has had a target on her back because Ben liked her has singled her out from the beginning.  I find Olivia awkward and lacking self awareness but certainly not malicious.  Strong independent women who are typically not all about the sorority girl club often end up the villain on the Bachelor.  The TPTB should be ashamed of themselves with all the added Olivia bashing on the After Show and SM.  They are true cyber bullies and certainly not champions against.

It depends on what type of journalism she focuses on.  I think there is a place in journalism for Olivia.  She just needs to find the right fit JMO

I'm amazed at the positive attitude she seems to have while the Bully Olivia show airs! I know she can't call TPTB out, but I don't know that I could be as calm as she is coming across to me. Kudos Olivia!! I hope great things happen for her.

There have been much nastier people on this show than Olivia. I always try to give the villain of the season a break since I know how the show works, however, when they pile it on so much that I actually start feeling sorry for them, then the producers have gone too far.

I find Olivia socially awkward and feel for her. Been there, done that. I do hope she continues to be positive and doesn't give them more to work with at the WTA since that show is edited as well. I hope we get someone to go see the live taping so we can know what really goes on and that she just stays far away from the franchise in the future.

I just feel so sorry for Olivia now and feel TPTB is going too far with her. It's just not funny any longer to me, and the way she was ridiculed on the after show was bullying, imo. I know people say that she gave them stuff to work with, but I bet all the other woman gave them a lot to work with, too, Olivia was just chosen as the villain, so they are showing all her negative things. I think the producers probably sat down with every girl there at some point and asked them about their relationship with Ben. I'm sure if that was shown, they would all look just as delusional as Olivia. They could have portrayed any of the 25+ girls there this season as the villain if they wanted to. With there thousands of hours of footage, their splicing and dicing, their frankenbiting, etc. any one of those girls could have been the villain if that is the way TPTB wanted them to be portrayed.

I can see the other girls being upset about some of her behaviors, but to ridicule her appearance and her breath? That just just below the belt, imo. From my point of view, Emily is the one now doing the bullying with her comments about Olivia. Yes, Olivia made the Teen Mom comment, but it wasn't meant to be mean spirited. She puts her foot in her mouth sometimes, but I felt like her apology about the comment was sincere. The girls gossiping about her appearance is very "mean girls" to me and is very deliberate.

I only caught snippets of the after show, but I did not like how Ben responded when asked about Olivia's breath. When Chris S. was asked about Britt not showering last year, he said that she always smelled nice. Ben could have done the same and said it wasn't an issue. He had the chance to take the high road, but he didn't. I was very disappointed in him!

I just hope that Olivia can hold it together until after the WTA, and then leave this franchise forever. I swear, I feel like one year TPTB are going to go too far with someone's edit, and the unthinkable will happen. It's entertainment, it shouldn't be used to ruin someone's life. I know people sign up for this show and they basically sign their life away, but if TPTB have to continually go this far with someone every season just to have a villain, then maybe the time has come to end this show.

Phew! I have been really upset about this for a couple of weeks now, and I'm glad I got that out! I'm so glad that she has some of the alum of this franchise supporting her!

^^^I am always amazed that people actually give tptb the power that they do each season despite that horrible contract that they sign. Every season there is someone vilified and it never seems to occur to them that it could be them. As much as I think they deserve everything that they get if they are that stupid and hungry for attention, I still can't help feeling sorry for them. This year it just happens to be Olivia's turn. Keep your head high and run as far away as you can from the franchise. If you go back for seconds, not cutting you any more slack.

I think that Olivia's "villain" edit is soooo over the top that she will (I hope) be okay careerwise and get sympathy because it is just completely beating a dead horse now so it has lost its affect, imo.

TBH, it's just caricature at this point and how Olivia is handling it on her SM and on her blog says more about her than a highly edited show. Plus, I think those who work in television get it and there's definitely this knowing now due to UnReal the show that not all is as it seems.

As long as Olivia remains positive like she is I think she will get through this and someone in television will give her a pass... if it's entertainment she wants to go into etc, she would have a unique perspective/voice. Who knows though...

Maybe they will give Olivia the Weathermans number.......

I do not think Olivia has been acting very nice, but so much of it must be producer prodding too. I think they have gone too far and now it is just mean. It is bordering on bullying to me. They do need characters on the show and she certainly is one, but... I hope that she is not emotionally damaged from this. I do wonder how Tiara (not sure how to spell her name?) from Sean's season is doing? How damaging was her edit to her. I do not need to watch a show that is really hurtful and embarrassing to someone.

Tierra didn't have over 3 twitter accounts mocking Olivia - one of which has 40K followers - which is tens of thousands more than the F4 have for their Twitter accounts.

SM is what has changed the dynamic so much - for the whole show (positive and negative) and what makes things last longer and have more impact than ever before. It's why the edit isn't as much of a problem to me as it is the constant tweets/fb/ig posts by the show that are more about Olivia than anyone else and all negative. Same with Bachelor Live show which is also new and shows that "bachelor nation" (a few number and which is probably rigged anyway) despises Olivia. Even Jimmy Kimmel had her as the devil emoji in his recap this week.

All that combined with a negative edit and negative media/blogs, and TPTB threatening bloggers who post her perspective to support her? It's too much, imo and shows just who the real bullies are  - TPTB.

They've been doing this forever. I remember a lawyer named Stu from Jen's season who they portrayed as a stalker. I really felt for the guy.

Every single one of these gals .. Without a doubt .. Knew exactly what they signed up for .. Contract was signed .. Sealed .. And delivered .. Olivia was cast for a specific character .. And she certainly has giVen the editors a lot of stuff to work with .. Exactly like the rest have over the past 20 seasons .. She is a seasoned television character in her own right .. I certainly don't feel sorry for her .. If anything .. I am sick of her being soo highlighted every single week
