Do all of these reality people get paid for everything they sponsor, every event they attend and every item they plug on twitter.So supporting a cause they believe in is also money in their pocket...right? Not a bad way to make a living LOL!

I've been a committee member for a few charity events.  We've never paid anyone probably because an appearance honorarium has always been declined by "public figures".  Expenses like transport, hotel, food are provided but almost all has been covered through sponsors rather than the coffers/working budget of the charity. K
No SM payment has ever been paid. We have never approached high profile individuals to "advertise"; they just do so of their own accord as they tend to already be involved in the cause.

That's been my experience.

Shawn may have been approached to bring awareness to the "mo" website.  Not sure if there would have been a monetary offer to do so. I'm leaning to "no".

Agree they are not likely paid to promote charities but their flights, accommodations and meals would be covered by the charity organizer. And I do not know for sure, someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I would say that in addition to their travel, hotels and meals, they DO get paid for their appearances non-charity related, ie to promote casinos, resorts and other businesses. Also I would assume they DO receive com pensation for plugging and promoting products. It is easy IMO to see why so many decide to accept the risks and sign on to do the show.
