Shawn is wanting NICK to help him raise awareness for a cause?!
Well of course it would be Nick he would reach out to since Nick has been raising awareness most his life for great causes.  
He may have wanted to check with Nick though as I won't doubt Nick is already doing something for this cause.

When things like this happen I know one thing is for sure: Nick is the winner this year alright.

That video from SB has me scratching my head.  So, where did that video first appear, since it has been stated that SB did not directly reach out to TOG and send him this message privately?

Sorry, but to me this does not come across as SB being sincere (even IF he is genuinely trying to be).  OTOH, if that was his attempt to be sincere, then it seems misguided to me, since he and K both seemed to go out of their way during their media rounds to make fun of and to delight in TOG's perceived misery afterwards.

However, I feel sure that someone close to Nick has already informed him of the above mentioned video.  Maybe Nick will just make a donation to the cause (as SB suggested in the video).

Pure speculation on my part: 
Most people want to support the fight against any form of cancer. I think Nick will be gracious about it, support it as he has other cancer awareness and down play anything other than positively reaching out to spread the message.
That's the important thing: spreading the message and not some trivial faux or real rivalry. The high road will be taken, IMO.

Kasha, I agree with you that Nick will take the high road, since that is the road that he has traveled ever since the end of the Bachelorette.

But, from a personal point of view, I am just questioning SB's motives and the timing of this video. But, I do believe that Nick will be gracious and will extend a hand to help the cause - and do his part to spread the message.

Does this sound like Nick is being asked to film an individual video, promoting self awareness of men's diseases, and that could possibly be the extent of it?  That is how I interpreted what he wrote.  Maybe all that they are really wanting are some public service announcements to get the word out.

If that is the case, then it is a win-win for Nick AND the charity.  And, with no messy distractions, may I add.
