Thanks, sdmom!  I like hearing about these efforts.  Like you, I hope Nick and all the contestants from the show will use their fame to do more for the charitable causes they believe in and encourage others to do the same.

At this point, I don't think Nick is even in the top 15 or maybe even top 20 most followed people from the Bachelor franchise on IG. Seems more like he got his representation to get it verified but like I said, it's not needed and doesn't really mean much of anything. All jmo.

Some facts regarding verified accounts on IG per IG:

* Some accounts are verified by Instagram to let people know they are authentic.
* These accounts have been given verified badges because they have a high likelihood of being impersonated.
* It's not currently possible to request a verified badge.

Again, these are facts posted by Instagram on Instagram. This is taken verbatim from IG, not my interpretation of what is posted. All facts, not my personal opinions.

^And personally, I don't see Nick fitting into either of the first two things posted so...

There's always, always a way around these things even if Instagram publicly stated in Dec. 2014 that they currently weren't accepting requests. That policy very well could have changed in the last 9 months.

Also, to me, it makes zero sense for a guy who doesn't even have 200K followers to have a verified account when tons of celebrities with millions of followers don't have the check mark.

^^ I personally know someone that has a verified IG account. The verification was initiated by IG, not the person with the account. Because opinions are sometimes posted as fact, i thought it best to properly state the facts regarding verified IG accounts as stated by IG and posted on their website. 

If one cares to look, there are many articles regarding pi**ed off celebrities & public figures that can't get their IG account verified. 

Gosh, that makes Nick a special little snowflake! ( IMHO and with a touch of sarcasm.)

^And I know someone who pulled strings to get all their social media accounts verified within a week of each other, including IG so I know it happens. I wasn't just stating my opinion, I was stating something I know to be a fact.

His is his Facebook page is impersonated by another person.

His vertivication came around the same time he signed on with Wilhiminamodels.

I will believe facts that FLChica looked up .

^I would venture to say nearly every person from this franchise has had someone create a fake account and pretend to be them. This is nothing new. Not to mention all the celebrities out there with millions of followers who have countless accounts impersonating them. Way more of a headache.

I stand by my statement that there are ways around Instagram's supposed "no requests" for verification rule. There are always ways and you just have to know the right people.

Maybe we need verified accounts at BBF.

Just curious but if so many people try to get their SM account verified and are not able to do it. Like athletes , actors, etc. then how did Nick find a way around it ? This really does not make sense to me because IMO they would have more pull then Nick would and way more ways to get around it.

I just had to check in to see what was spewed at Nick today... hmm, now it's verified accounts.  I love it!!
