On his own, Shawn has over 1 million followers on IG and Twitter compared to Nick's 290K.
So more than 700K followers than Nick.

Because I like math/stats and aware none of this reflects reality of who donated but just to show that number of followers are meaningless at the end of the day:


Nick = 290K followers = so if each follower donated $0.035 hypothetically = $10K (which he already raised)

Shawn and Kaitlyn = 2.75 million followers (1.017 million are Shawn's followers) = so if each follower donated $0.035 hypothetically = $90K (amount that would have been raised if each follower donated same hypothetical amount).

I guess, if every follower was actually a person . I have no doubt they have quite a bit, but I guess we'll never know what's real and what's not.

I am glad to see money raised for men's health issues by all Movember participants. While I don't doubt that all the team members took the fundraising seriously, I do think that Nick did the best job at consistently bringing attention to the campaign.  And with positive results, for sure.

Now the question is, do you think that he (and the other team members) will follow through with the "personal snapchats", videos and meetings they agreed to in the name of charity?

Kaitlyn & Shawn facetimed a few of them awhile back. Not sure what Nick did.

Question....when you add all of those totals together it does not equal the amount that their team raised....so where else did they get funds.  I'm not doubting that Nick raised more...but there are numbers missing.  Nick placed 33 out of individual earners with his $10k+ in donations...but the team placed 33rd also with $23k+ raised...so where are the other roughly 8k in donations coming from?

My understanding is that they each had an individual page and then a team page. So, if Nick only linked to his personal page and Shawn linked to the team page...then all of those team donations could be Shawn's (just as the same could be said for the opposite). My point being that you do not know for sure that Nick raised more than Shawn. There's just no way to know that.

And either way....this is just another example of a high school popularity contest. WHO CARES?! The point is they raised money for cancer and that's a GOOD thing. Why make silly comparisons over who made more than who and who has more followers...it just seems silly and childish to me!

Honestly....the ship has sailed. Nick and Shawn have both obviously moved on....I think the rest of the world needs to as well. Just my two cents...

As someone who had a immediate family member die of prostate cancer and another that battled it and won(at least at this typing), I agree. Any good deed is still a good deed. A great deed.
You can't diminish good deeds.
All of us can contribute. Good is good. And I don't just mean male cancer issues. Good is good.

Cancer sucks....there's just no other words for it. My deepest sympathies for your families loss Kasha. I agree...good is GOOD!

ITA it isn't about individual numbers on a team project.  It is about the overall result.  Congrats to all of the team members for putting a face on Movember to lots of new people and together raising a nice sum of money for male cancer causes.

FYI only:  I donated and unless the donation was specified to be credited to a specific team member it goes into the general team tally.  Also I used the donate privately option and those donations do not get shown on the itemized list because the names are kept private.  Just the Visa matching funds option is displayed but with the generic term donor.
