Mostly during when he was eliminated and maybe even during the "spinning the wheels" conversation. I remember there was a long discussion about people feeling that way at the time, since he seemed like he was reading lines and didn't seem to show raw emotion. it's hard to tell b/c he's so articulate and good at controlling his emotions, so im not sure if it's just him being composed or actually rehearsed. I still have a Juliet-level crush on him, so I'm going to go with the prediction that he's just a nice guy and is so agreeable with producers b/c he doesn't want to make their job difficult for them.

^^^ and it shows that he's smart, too. If he goes along with the things that are easy, like re-shooting, when it's time to put his foot down about something, they'll be more likely to listen to him.

IMO he didn't show raw emotions because there were none. He wasn't into the lead at at all.

I think he is the type that listens when one is talking, and responds logically. Many felt he was simply a nice guy from the first pic that was shared here by someone who knows him. IMO he behaves with a level of respect for others, whether they are producers from Lala land so far removed from how he grew up down to the volunteers in Honduras amongst those who have nothing.

Great point. I think Sean even talked about that, how he picked his battles so that he would get his way when it really counted (like not closing the curtains to insinuate intimacy at the fs).

I also think he realizes that this is technically his job/responsibility/reputation, so if he follows orders to simple things that the production wants, he's more than willing to do that to stay on their good side. Especially if it's something as little as reshooting an angle/go to line.

Juliet even mentioned the "spinning wheels" comment in that podcast. How that's logical Ben, telling the situation in a sequence, etc. I think he's just very aware of what's going on in general. He seems to keep his eyes wide open in his surroundings. Which is a good thing...especially on this show.

It doesn't necessarily surprise me that he's supposedly comfortable on camera/being the boss of the situation. Even though, he comes across as this laid back sweet fella, he's an Aries- AKA: born leader.

OMG. Can we have gifs for icons? I was just watching some clips, and came across a video of Ben chomping on what appears to be a cookie. And for some reason I find it hilarious. Its the Kaitlyn said Shawn is "the one" clip.

Yeah, I just hope he can muster up some raw emotion towards someone as the lead. Otherwise it'll be a snoozefest. I still think he and Becca might be more similar than we think and I don't mean in a "she'll be F1" kind of way.

That's an interesting point considering what Juliet for ATRR podcast said about Ben that he won't find love/fall in love.
This process may not allow him to do so since he may be too aware of cameras to let his guard down or perhaps too aware this is his "job".
He may also be too considerate of each girl and so not want to really go in one direction completely.

I do think though, that if Ben truly does fall in love it will be really obvious.
I suspect he will act totally different than he usually does if he falls in love on the show.
And by that I mean I would see Ben as super vulnerable and possibly even shy rather than confident.
