Chris' balloon date was in New Mexico though. Iowa wouldn't have a mountain like that.

I think it's California. Perhaps up in the wine country.

There is also from looking at maps and brochures, there is also southern wine country near San Diego. Will keep looking there.

The balloon picture is puzzling. With drought conditions in California... and it being fall, California seems unlikely.. definitely not the area around Azuza which is not that agricultural. The topography rules out most of Indiana, I think, certainly the area around Ben's hometown. Though you could maybe check pictures of French Lick, Indiana.... there are some resorts there.

I do believe that the hot air balloning happened in the Temecula wine country as the countrysides look quite the same, where as in the Azusa area, it is too "mountainous", IMO. Temecula is known for their hot air balloon festivals. Now looking for the balloon again.

That balloon pattern is a very common type of pattern for the balloon itself. Good luck finding out where this shot was taken. It is sometimes easier to match the basket 1st then match it to the balloon. Have been to many balloon fests. and have noticed that. And Indiana really does not have mountains like that. It's pretty flat and only hills in the southern part of the state it seems like.

Well, I am officially pattern and color blind I think. I give. The only thing I really noticed though is that the area does look like California wine areas and considering the southern wine country is around San Diego, IMO, it may actually be from Jubilee's date??
