The Bachelor 20 - Ben Higgins - Potential Contestants - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

It is different in that world.  The more contact you make with producers, handlers and past contestants, the more you stand out as a plot point.  Not as a person, but as part of a manufactured, dramatic potential storyline.

And the folks that lose sight of the fact that they are simply commodities, to be used by the producers, are the ones in for a hard fall. People that think it's real, that is.

I still standby that theory Becca wanted to be on the show based on her reaching out to Elan.  I think she was the backup choice if they could not get Tenley, who Ben actually was conversing with.  Once Tenley opted out of returning, TPTB decided to go with Becca.  It has been reported that Becca found out that she was getting the gig right before she was supposed to meet up with Jared.  Jared unlike Ben was not available to meet up with anyone until after the finale of BIP.  Becca and Jared could have been texting for the weeks post filming BIP though.  It seems most likely Becca stood up Jared for a return visit to the Bachelor and a chance of "winning" Ben.  If Ben had an interest in Becca, he could have met her as early as TMTA last spring when he was in LA.  Becca was in LA that weekend with Kaitlyn and may have even been at TMTA taping. IMO Becca wants more TV time and probably thinks Ben is cute.  After all it is more free promotion as well as vacation time.  By the way, Becca's tagline on twitter is.....Yer Cute.  Yes that is the spelling she used. Ugh.  
It will interesting to see if Becca will get a negative or positive edit this time.  Since her family was not happy with production last time, I would guess it will be the former.

I hope Ben, who actually does not seem like a fame chaser has several nice down to earth girls to choose from.  JMO

I am sure Ben knows about the date and that she stood Jared up. He doesn't take kindly to that kind of thing. And as I have said before if she makes it past night one I honestly believe it is because he was told to keep her. I would rather see him have the opportunity with all new gals right off the bat.

In honor of my favorite thing Ben said last season: "If he's gonna be here...he's gonna be here." (Referring to when Nick showed up) (And now for the Becca situation and everything else that's to come.)

Yeah, I don't see him booting her on the first episode. Truthfully, I hope he does even though that's not gonna happen. I don't want to see her get hurt and I don't want her to face the firing squad that will be waiting for her. She's gonna get absolutely crucified. The girls are gonna tear her apart.

I do not see him booting her the first night, only because they both already share a spot in bach nation. 
You simply don't do that to another bach nation buddy/family member. (as much as I would like her to be gone night one) I don't see Ben doing this as he is a gentleman. 
Becca will be around up until the travel dates move past the regular USA travel dates into mid season when they move out of the USA. Then I see her gone.

The girls are gonna tear her apart, and possibly the general public. Though, from my understanding, the majority of the general public still likes her. I just hope Ben doesn't get it too bad.. The fact that she's coming in on night 1, should lessen the bruise for both of them though. That's MUCH better than coming in mid season. MUCH BETTER. And like I said before, Becca was the safest choice of her, Britt, and Tenley. So there's that too.

Are we to assume that this season is going back to normal? Back to hometown dates and all that?

I'm fine with Ben booting her the first night and I don't think he should feel obligated to keep her just because they've both been on the show before. Sean booted Paige (from BP) the first night, the Stormhorse booted Shawntel the same episode she showed up and Andi refused to even see Bukowski. I didn't think badly of any of them for it.

I still say that unless they really hit it off, Becca will last as long as Kacie did on Sean's season. So like 3 episodes.

Don't worry. Nick went in as the villain, in the middle of the season, got crucified and he's the happiest I've ever seen him now. If she wants a chance with Ben it's a risk she's going to take and she might not want to stay home and think what if. Maybe she got inspired by Nick. He jumped in with no regrets, no matter what happened. She might actually grow and find herself from this experience.

Who knows if that will happen? Becca is much more introverted, less aggressive, and arrogant than a lot of the returnees from the past (Nick, Chris B, Mary, etc.). She's a much harder person to dislike and if the rumors are true and we're getting a more Sean-like cast, they might be more accepting of her especially since there isn't a prior relationship. Heck, most guys ended up accepting Nick and he was all those things and he DID have a prior relationship. I didn't watch Byron's season, but I heard that most of the girls got over Mary coming in. I'm going to wait and see...I don't see Becca's entrance is going to be quite as dramatic and interesting as Nick coming in. I think it'll be much more similar to the lackluster Kacie B return.
