It may bring the spark back but it takes more than a spark to keep a relationship sustainable, imo. It takes a true partnership and equals respecting one another and being kind and considerate of one another.

It is not surprise to me that Kaitlyn liked Shawn when he was all riled up on the show. Imo, she even liked it when he was jealous/possessive and she enjoyed playing games with him and sleeping around despite him being "the one".

Kaitlyn said in interview that her worst relationship fear is that SHE will fall out of love and that she will get bored. Kaitlyn is one of the most self-absorbed people I have ever witnessed and only seems consider her own feelings and not care whether someone will like her... and if they don't, like her IG bio says she is an acquired taste and those that don't like her THEY need to acquire taste.

Wait who said the spark is gone?? Think we may have to tell Shawn and Kait. Hehe

Oh I totally agree. That's why I don't see this thing lasting. I think she needs someone who doesn't pander to her BS, not someone who encourages it. And Shawn needs someone who doesn't take advantage of his devotion. JMO.

I think to attract those types of partners they need to both first work on themselves.
It's good to have other people bring out the best or better versions of oneself but it's a whole lot better (and more mature and long-lasting) if one does that groundwork for themselves.
I honestly just think they are both too immature as people and the growing up they need to do is best done outside of a relationship.

Yep agreed. This is what I said as well the amount of time they appear to spend together is not healthy. I personally think one of the most important things in a relationship is taking time to yourself and having some sort of independence.

I could be completely wrong so someone please correct me if I am but I don't think the show gave them that trip I thought I read it was Galveston tourism that did.

The huge indicator as to how much faith TPTB had in this couple was confirmed at BIP after show when they:

- showed a tribute to Jade and Tanner twice... At most they showed one of Kaitlyn and Shawn once ... We had reaction shot screen of J and T did not if S and K
- let them watch their proposal did not let S and K watch theirS
- gave J and T the robes and trip which I don't remember them doing since Ash and JP but could be wrong
- the weirdest part was their poll of who would get married first which based on the audience they would have known that J and T would dominate esp since people just saw them get engaged... Just very strange to put a shadow on an engagement you supposedly support

I hope these two spend some time apart and if the time makes the heart grow fonder than work on strengthening the relationship other wise better to part ways sooner than later. I just don't think they bring out the best in each other. All IMO

Oh I know the show didn't give them the trip. I just was trying to point out their trip is far less spectacular than what other free trips other couples have received.

Ineresting reading here haven't for a while.  I say long time ago they wont last, she had taken on Shawn personality in the beginning to compensate for her live in the moment cover after sleeping with TOG, and to me Shawn was not a good influence on her.  They both dont make each other better person.  The way they acted after the show finishing taping and airing just turn me off completley how they laugh at TOG heartache, told me all I needed to know.  I come here out of boredom and curiousity to see how they are doing.  I am just glad my beloved tv boyfriend is not her fiance.

Just my opinion, but I would put my $ on a lack of trust. Look what happened with Nick. Who's to say that wouldn't happen again when someone is drunk and we have all seen plenty of drinking with these two.

And what a sad reality for them if that's the reason why. It's no way to have a healthy relationship.

Not to mention how tedious!

JMO, everybody is different & maybe their relationship works for them. We are only getting a snapshot of their lives. So I like to think positive & believe their love is real & will last. I'm hopeful anyway!
