The only time I "care" is either when it's a deeply held secret, which I think is hilarious, or just total BS that doesn't represent the person in question at all. When someone claims they're an attorney or a financial advisor and it turns out that they're the furthest thing from it, then I'm annoyed because I was rooting for someone under false pretenses. Just as a random example of course

Kait and Shawn have never claimed that either is career driven or pretended that they're something they're not. I think it's fine for people to not value a normal desk job or a traditional 9-5 career with pencil skirts and ties, so it's not a big deal to me. It's more important that couple is on the same page than what I think they should be doing, and this couple absolutely is there. As always jmo.

So what exactly happened between her and dwts then if she was in consideration ? I mean dwts is abc affiliated . She is still in contract with abc . Just wondering about it .

Agee that K and S are definitely not your 9 to 5 people which is fine since they are on the same page and more importantly they seem to be doing fine and since I am not personally responsible for their financial support all is good

the sense i'm getting is maybe they have quite a few balls to juggle and the questions I have are not really about the finances but more about their future plans...
things they're juggling
- with the visa situation
- their next step plans may not be 100% certain e.g. maybe dwts was a real thing K was hoping cos of her dance background will be a way to further expand opportunities for herself (I wonder if the speculation is true that she applied for thebach show thinking she could push that into a career in entertainment)
- any other options we don't know about?
I wouldn't be surprised if they are stressed out and also still in the process of getting to know each other and starting to discover the parts of each other that are harder to live with as well...
In any case if they are not thinking or working on the getting a foundation for a life together then i hope they have the financial stability to hold that off for a few more months till they figure things out and land on something solid...

Has K signed on with an agent to try to get gigs?
I do remember she was saying she wants to live in the rural parts a quiet life...but then she says they won't get married for 2 years which seems a bit confusing in light of the visa challenges.

so right now I don't think I know what K wants and I also wonder what S wants... all the best to them as they figure it out that they'll also care for each other and work to bring out the best in each other

I don't believe Kaitlyn, was ever being considered for DWTS, there has not been a female lead on DWTS since Trista and that was well after her season .. Melissa, was only brought onto the show because someone got injured, every female leads has rumors floating around about DWTS, but none of them have gotten on the show, the bachelor franchise does NOTHING for their female leads.

Why don't they cast female leads lately? Apparently Emily Maynard couldn't even get it.

Like I said before, Jillian has said she was offered, but she said no. I agree that TPTB aren't fans of Kaitlyn, but like I said, I don't think they were fans of Jake and completely threw his f1 under the bus. If you believe Courtney, she was asked as an alternate: also not a Tptb favorite and someone who was thrown under the bus in terms of edit.

I don't know if Kaitlyn was in serious consideration or not, but I think it would be silly of me to be 100% confident that she wasn't just because I don't like her.

^^^ Where did I read that Jake was "given" Bachelor Pad and DWTS because he was upset about how he was portrayed in the break-up interview he did with Vienna? Did anyone else hear this??

What Kaitlyn said about DWTS is that she couldn't say yes or no for awhile. Then a couple weeks ago it was that she had heard from them but still couldn't give an answer. Then when she & Shawn did an radio interview they asked her about it and she said "she was in talks but something happened because of her contract" and left it at that.

I heard it (re: Jake)..but he hadn't broken up with Vienna while he was on DWTS. About BP I did hear that he was suing ABC for losing out as the host of a morning show in Dallas over the Vienna breakup special, and he was guaranteed four episodes on BP to repair his image.
