Sorry to switch gear here:
I was out of town when they announced Ben in After Paradise so I missed the episode. I read Nick made an appearance, what did he say? Is there a link to watch his part? Did the current appear in person or just called in?

Nick and Ben were both there. They had Nick come out first to try to fool everyone . Then just briefly talked to Nick and wished him the best on his new adventures in life. Then they announced the new Bachelor and Ben spoke briefly and that was about it. Nothing really exciting or surprising . Nick did tweet what a great guy Ben was and that he would make a great Bach. They had a picture taken of both of them and had breakfast together that morning.

What a wonderful and thought provoking conversation in regards to speculating about why Nick has not found his true love/the One.

ITA with you OP. I don't think he has found the right combination and person to agape with. It has to be reciprocal and that's where the difficulty lies. As obviously, Nick is still single as he puts it and I am sure he still is.

I think the Media loves to speculate who he may be dating all the time. It's all very funny to me how media can generate anxiety, horror, drama, comedy, etc... through falsely leading the public eye.

I love the Nicks Chicks! Huge fan of Nick since the beginning and probably why I got hooked on watching the Bachelorette/Bachelor show. Finally, something I can take a bite out of and chew on for awhile.

I think Nick will get lucky in finding the One. His intentions are there, so is his intelligence, heart and soul, and he knows what he wants out of life. He's not just a hipster that just goes with the trends of the day. He's pretty grounded as he has the support of his family and friends.
I can't wait for him to share with his fans how his love story unfolds.
I don't think it will be dull for sure.

I do think you are correct in saying Nick has given plenty of hints that he is aware of and in search of agape. His interviews and a few convo bits from the shows indicate he has invested a fair amount of time in contemplation of his definition of love and his having said a relationship is where the "work begins" all mesh with terms he has often used: "selfless" and "reciprocal" . It flows because each partner gives unconditionally therefore neither is wanting.
IMO agape can be experienced in friendship as well. Without eros, that is where a relationship goes. So yes, I see your point of verifying whether a potential partner shares a similar capacity for agape but without eros one has the pleasure of a long term/lifetime friendship but IMO not a spouse. I'm coming from the perspective of having always had male friends, none of which have ever been lovers, but all of which are of great value to me and some of whom share my own interpretation of love.

I'm just coming from the other thread, which occupied me for the last month and finally came to accept the reality that what I witnessed was indeed missing the eros love ... often my biggest issue in a relationship with a man. So, I agree with NR ... sometimes you simply don't receive from the other side what it's out of your control. That's why finding the "one" is hard.

Great interview talk/answers... proved all I was assuming TY NR
..also I liked how he threw it out about "talking about/being associated with The Bachelor" and the change in his life and opinions of others - and i agree with him, that's why i have no problem with his recent activities.
And he acknowledged his "smirk".

My favorite moment: Andi or Kaitlyn: There’s no upside to me answering this question. The guy is so savvy! Love it!!
My least fav moment: I hated the interviewer judging Nick about ‘outing’ Andi. This still frustrates the sh*t of me!! THEY HAD SEX. Nick is so right about the double standards.
