This is interesting as it explains how Tenley possibly felt about Michael G at some point after their date and it appears that she told other(s) what Michael had written her.

I'm sure the contents of her letter will come out if they haven't already so I'm not going to bother to transcribe it. The gist of the letter was, she knows they don't have the all important chemistry between them but he checks off all of the boxes on her "list" and she knows of other couples who didn't have previous said chemistry either but after time now have something (particularly her best friend) and she's asking him if he would be willing to try and see if something might develop between them and if he thinks not, that will be her closure. All paraphrased from my point of view.
