And that's why she's my favorite.
Me too! I can't believe the producers had Ashley call her. Kaitlyn was probably making a face like "what the eff!? leave me alone I'm basking in my engagement bliss!" I mean what was she supposed to do and/or say??
Yeah more of the relationships please show. I think Carly and Kirk are cute and really want to know what happened.

Ashley I tweeted that Jade/tanner's conversation was one of the most real and candid moments they've shown in bachelor history and I totally agree. They weren't speaking in bachelor speak, but genuinely talking about fears and uncertainty when you're falling in love in this type of unnatural environment. They just seem so sincere to me in their like for each other. Also loved the shoulder kisses and jades "he's only had two girlfriends...and I'm the third!". So corny, but cute.sbolduc wrote:I just don't like Sam and Joe, I actually liked Joe a lot more this episode but that was likely because he was next to Sam who I am not a fan of at all. She wanted to be the centre of attention in my opinion.
Love Tanner and Jade, thought their conversation seemed awkward which made it a lot more endearing and real to me as a viewer. Jade you could tell almost put all her walls up when he was talking as she was expecting him to be worried they weren't going work because of her "past" or "lifestyle" seemed evident when she asked "what are you worried I am going to do to you". When really Tanner just seems enamored with her and almost scared that it isn't real life.
I just wish they showed more of the Jade/Tanner moments or the Carly/Kirk ones. I am very interested to see what the heck happens with Carly and Kirk.
Also JJ's exit amazing, purely epic and wouldn't expect anything less.
And, count me in as someone who does not like Sam either!! I'm not a huge fan of Nick either (and um that boxers close up was TMI to the max), so it will not be fun to see them dating and getting screen time. If you've already met and and have been talking for a couple of months, why are you even here? Oh, right - the paycheck and attention.

Tanner & Jade -- I completely enjoyed their date. I thought they were so real and open with each other. I've often thought that bridging the physical distance post-show is one of the biggest challenges these couples face.
Ashley I. and Jared -- For an emotional girl, I thought she handled Jared's announcement surprisingly well. My heart broke for her. I loved how Jared called her the sweetest girl there. I felt it gave me some additional insight into Ashley I. Was Jared truly not yet over Kaitlyn? Possibly. It hadn't been that long. I think it was just that Kaitlyn was more his type, and Ashley I. not so much.
Dan & Amber -- I expected him to pick her, so no surprises there.
J.J. -- I was surprised when he picked Ashley S. over Juelia. My best guess is that he had already been given the heads-up that Mikey was on his way back, therefore he was free to save another woman off of the chopping block.
Nick and Ashley S. -- My first impression of Nick was a neutral one. I'm glad that he and Ashley S. had fun on their date. I don't see a future there, though. I guess that asking someone out, with the resulting "let's go for a walk and talk about it" is the new normal.
Samantha & Joe -- Interesting how quickly Mikey caught on to Samantha's shenanigans after his conversation with Nick. As for Joe, I enjoyed seeing some karmic payback. I am NOT going to give him a pass after his horrible behavior last week. I don't believe for a second that Samantha started distancing herself from him due to drama and problems. This was just part of her overall strategy to stick around and see who else would be coming down the beach. I think that Samantha believes that she can wrap most guys around her little finger.

Nick's arrival after all of the Joe-Samantha drama was most appropriate. Regardless, Ashley S. being so fascinated by his skimpy briefs was one of the funniest moments of the show.
I do feel more "romance" with Jade and Tanner

Ashley S is TV gold! Her conversation with the bird was the most entertaining part of this episode! I love her!
Jade and Tanner are just adorable! I love the two of them together!
Joe got his just desserts and mean girl Sammie is dishonest and ugly on the inside. I cannot stand her. That being said, I do not care for Juelia either. Mikey is still a meathead- albeit a lovable meathead.
Clare clearly lives in lala land if she thought she was ever in the running to be the 'Ette after her little ocean romp with JP.
Dan is still seriously hawt! That is all. LoL!

Re: Bachelor In Paradise - Season 2 - Episode Discussions - #2 *Sleuthing - Spoilers*
Samantha is really coming across as a cold entitled bitch, isn't she? I agree that she's accustomed to using her looks to get any guy she wants. It sounds like she used Joe, who reached out to her months ago and was obviously smitten, to insure that she wouldn't get sent home because everyone was already paired up, but was never all that interested in him. IMO, Nick physically is much more attractive (and more her type, which someone there said ran to muscle-bound pretty boys), but once all the drama exploded and her motives were questioned, she decided to decline the offer from Nick to make herself look more sincere, then dump Joe at the first available moment to clear the path for the "better" guy. That's a pretty nasty move right there. I'd feel more sorry for Joe, but he also appeared to revel in screwing people over, "outsmarting" and mocking them, as well as acted like Juelia was a piece of dirt on his shoe. So he deserves whatever heartbreak he's feeling now, and maybe he'll learn a lesson from it.
I think Nick is a meathead but basically a simple, decent guy who just doesn't take sh*t from people who don't treat him right. I respected him not sharing the money on BP, because the clique totally ignored/dismissed him until they needed something from him, then they expected unquestioned loyalty from him. He also reacted well to Sam turning him down even though I suspect she had made even a stronger promise to him than she did to Joe. He and Ashley had fun on their date, although they are definitely not a match and they really got wasted (he probably needed to be drunk in order to deal with her "quirkiness"; I know the audience now loves her, but I suspect her loopiness is not just an act). It will be interesting to see how things go between him and Samantha. Not really a fan of Nick's but I still think he's too good for her.

He gave her his rose so she would be able to stay, then told her right away that he wasn't feeling it with her to give her as much time as possible to try to make a connection with another guy (this week the women have the power, so she'll have two weeks), so she can stay in paradise. He is basically sacrificing himself (and the rose she was sure to give him) so that she can move ahead. I'm not sure how much he is still hung up on Kaitlyn, or if it's just that Ashley is not for him (I can understand why, she's incredibly immature for a 27 year old woman and he's rather serious and cerebral), and had he met the right woman, it would have been "Kaitlyn who?".

Pretty much agree with everything you posted Ironcat. I'm fairly neutral on Nick. I had no problem with what he did on BP after how everyone treated him. He was straight forward this time as well. He admitted right away that he and Sam talked, texted and even met up before the show. He did not try to hide the fact...unlike what Joe did initially. He also handled well how Sam turned him down for a date after initially telling him she would accept. He figured her out pretty quickly. He still would probably like to get into her pants, but unlike Joe, he doesn't seem to have any illusions about her and I highly doubt, he would want to marry her and have her be the mother to his children.
Sam is the one that is really coming across the worst out of this whole fiasco. She messed with both Joe and Nick before and during the show. She treated her "friend" Juelia like dirt and acts as if she is above everyone. She was the one telling Joe what to do and how to hide how much contact they had before the show...as the cameras discovered. Then she is whining about all the drama...that she created. I loved the "oh sh*t" look on her face when Nick came in. You could tell she was already trying to figure out a way that she could spin his presence to Joe and everyone. I suspect she expected that she would get a free vacation, have some fun, get some good air time and come out fairly well in the hopes of branding herself as a result of being on the show. I think she figured out fairly quickly that she was being set up as the villain. Can't wait till the finale to see her squirming to try to get out of this mess she made for herself.
You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.
