These two are just gross. No wonder she said she can be totally herself with Shawn. I doubt she was this nonstop cackling mess with Nick, otherwise I can't imagine him wanting to marry her. I know I'd be like "Will you just SHUT UP ALREADY?!" after 5 mins in her company. I just can't stand people like that, never could, not even back in high school.

And Shawn's clearly a heavy drinker. Who gets plastered the night before you have to be on GMA bright and early as well as that AOL interview? I watched some periscope of theirs from Wednesday where she talking about him slurring to her with one eye open because they'd been drinking all night. So adorbs!

I just like to double and triple check my opinion on people before cementing it. But it's definitely cemented now, so no worries, I don't wish to kill any more of my braincells.

I liked this interview

I liked this interview too.  It seemed real and like answers any couple in this situation would have given.  They are doing really well in these interviews.  I also like how they interact, for instance when Kaitlyn tells him to move his mike closer when he talks.  That is so normal in this situation, and she can give him advice and he sort of laughs about it.  She is much more experienced in interviews than him and he shows respect for that.  It makes their relationship seem like one of respect for each other.

You know, I see their over the top sm the same as being on this forum. A lot of pple will never understand why I spend time here talking about this show and the contestants, I've been judged pretty harshly by some and looked at like Im weird but the show and this forum is something I like spending time on and can never explain away to pple who don't get it. I feel thats what these two sm oversharing is like, I'm sm shy so will never understand it but they like it so good on them. They do not need to change who they are just so we can judge them less. I'm quite sure if they stopped, then there will be something else wrong with them and their relationship for those who do not care much for them. I think Chris and Whitney were non sharers and that was a big problem too.

They confirmed that it was Shawn who took the snapchat and that he posted it to K's "story" account.  Shawn seemed hungover the entire time, but that could just be his RBF.  Also, they still have zero plans about anything except some charity thing in November (and who knows if they'll still be together by then).

Anyway, I think they seem cute and happy for now, although I'd agree that it seems more "surface level" and infatuation than anything.  I also disagree with the interviewer that Kait did a good job acting about her choice and that she did make it obvious in her media after the show. I think it will be interesting to see if they actually go ahead and move in together, and what they both end up doing with their time because neither has a day job. But they seem on the same page and happy in the interview.

I just watched the interview. It didn't bother me at all (except K's laugh, which has always driven me bonkers). I think they are a good match. Intellectually, I don't think she would have been a good match for Nick in the long run.
They are going to Hawaii in December....how do they afford this???
I did like that Shawn said his charity of choice would be for animals!  That's the soft spot in my heart.

I thought they said that Shawn said to Kaitlyn that he made a mistake, but then they realized it was on Kaitlyn's "story", and so I got the impression that Shawn was playing around with Kaitlyn's phone.  It didn't sound like they were both taking pictures.

Even on JK, they joked about her calling him an idiot for posting and then realizing, hey it's on your story, you did it and she said whoops I guess I am the idiot.

Another thought after watching......
I think they are the same in sort of liking to party and have fun. But I get the feeling that Shawn is more a traditionalist than she is. I have to wonder if this will ever cause issues?

Agree.

I tend to agree with Ian's comments re Kait - the girl likes pop culture references, drinking, laughing, telling jokes, getting attention. She seems a perpetual teenager in a grown up's body. I don't think there's much more to her than that nor does she want there to be. I love Kaitlyn's energy and spirit, but she would exhaust me quickly. She really doesn't seem like she'll ever be settled down and I do wonder if that will take a toll on Shawn after the honeymoon phase wears off. She and Shawn seem pretty well matched to start out though. Neither is a highly educated ambitious career type, neither leads a traditional 9-5 life or is tied to any one place long-term, both seem happy to go where life takes them and spend a lot of time "hanging out" and a lot of drinking. So maybe they are perfect for each other in wanting a simple life to share with someone on the same page as them - even if not everyone's cup of tea.

But I think why I like them a lot is neither was/is putting on an act for cameras to create some image. They blurt out things they shouldn't, they aren't PC, might not be the most kind or thoughtful, but they are def themselves and not trying to project an image of being anything else. They clearly both fell for each other in a big way, Kaitlyn picked the right guy for her and the one she had strongest feelings for and fit best with. That's a nice change coming out of the show for me. So whether you like them or not, there's no denying IMO they were the right couple to come out of this season and they're in love and we can all move on to new seasons of the show and new "characters". Not a lot of baggage to talk about with them, love them or hate them.
