Boating on the water with liquor is not a good mix wow, just wow.

No kidding, just ask singer Annie Lennox's daughter whose boyfriend is currently missing and likely dead because he and her went kayaking, while they were drinking, current got strong and they fell over. Annie's daughter was found by a passing boat but so far the boyfriend can't be found. I honestly have no comments on Shawn and Kaitlyn - other than a shrug and a "well what else is new at this point."

I bet that every time Nick accidentally stumbles onto an article about Kaitlyn, he's like "thank you God for letting me dodge that bullet".

Makes me think of Carrie Underwood's "Good in Goodbye". Sometimes what you think you want isn't what's best for you. Kaitlyn and Nick would have never worked out in my opinion. Not that I think she and Shawn will last either but the alcohol should blur their senses for awhile until eventually they get sober enough where they'll realize they actually have nothing interesting to say to each other. Of course it might work out because to quote Hermione Granger, they both have the emotional range of a teaspoon so they match each other on the same mental and emotional level.

I've been critical of their SM oversharing and frequent boozing, but...I am not convinced that those pictures show a drunk Mama B. Maybe they do, but maybe they don't. I think they might be of a sea sick Mama B because the sea looks rough, they look like they put on life jackets, and the caption reads "rough ride". So, unless I see further proof that she or they were drunk, I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one...even though the magazine called her drunk...but I don't believe everything I read!

Mia, but why are the magazine(s) portraying them as a drinken family instead of an outgoing water-sport family? Because K&S party and drink all the times. It's always a bad thing when you leave such a bad image in the public, when you are in the spotlight, it doesn't matter what you actually do/did, it is what people think you did/would do and how they perceive you.

I know this is who they are, they only want to have fun and focus at the moment. I dont judge them good or bad, this is their lives and their choice. However, I just think some good opportunites have already been slipped away already, because who would want a drunken couple to be in their event, to be the icon for whatever products. Maybe they can try to approach wine/beer manufacturer now.

As they were recording, the waters were choppy and wind was blowing a lot. Life jackets were on the whole time and at one point Kaitlyn and her mom were laying down. To me it seemed more sea sick, as they didn't have any drinks in their hands, just their phones.

Just like what I said right before your post, Linds, it really doesnt matter whether they did drink, or not. The Magazines and the general public already thought they did because of the image they have post show.

We can always say the non-fans are being judgemental, but this is essentially what they choose to show the world the entire time. Who would take these 2 seriously after all their drunken SM posts? And this is a couple in their 30/late 20, not high school sweethearts having summer holiday.

I watched their snapchats before seeing the article and I was not under the impression that K's mum was drunk. I thought it her seasick and it was actually quite funny to see the situation.

I saw Shawn with a drink in hand, but I didn't get the impression that there was heavy drinking at all. I also think someone else was driving the boat.

Because that's what sells. I watched the snapchat and only saw a family having fun, K's mom looked like she was seasick.

It's better than her snapping and driving, which she has done in the past. It just makes me sad that these people are so obsessed with capturing every moment that they don't even care about all the potential accidents they could be causing.

I get the need to share with their fans but my concern is it's pretty much and how is their relationship when they are not snap chatting or periscoping. They probably don't have much to talk about or discuss hence the constant need to party and share. Oh well it's their life

Oh, I totally agree with your post. I think they have put out onto SM so much partying that now they are being portrayed that way in media. Regardless of whether it was factual or not, the magazine basically chose to say "Hey, look! The drunken couple was partying with K's Mom and she was drunk, too!" They have created this image for themselves by what they have chosen to share on SM, and now they are being stuck with this label (whether it is true or not). They now seem to have this as their public image, and now it's strickeling down to K's mom.

Maybe this will be a wake up call to them. If they don't want to be portrayed this way, or to have their family now portrayed this way, maybe they should think twice about all the stupid snapchats, etc they put out there. One would hope that they'd see the error in their ways, however, I don't have much hope for them. I think they are a 'screw you' type family, meaning that they'd rather thumb their nose at the media and continue whooping it up than to take a good look in the mirror and see that this isn't going to help any of them long term. They can't see past 'the moment'. Although, with Shawn's whiny streak, I could see him taking to SM to try to defend himself...which will probably only fan the flames and make things worse for them (as far as the media goes, and therefore as far as public image goes, and therefore as far as future employment/sponsors goes).

The only reason I posted about this is because I don't personally believe that they were drunk. I think they were sea sick. There are too many clues that the boat ride was rough (grey waters and grey sky, whitecaps visible in the water, life jackets--do you really think they'd be wearing life jackets otherwise?--the wide footed stance by K, the miserable looks on their faces--as opposed to drunken happiness--the caption of 'rough ride', the ambiguous caption that Mama B was not alright, the lack of booze in the photos). It spells seas sick not drunk to me. That's why I won't assume that they were drunk. I don't believe everything I read. I'm giving them a pass on this incident. And I'm usually first in line to criticize their drunkenness. I'm just trying to be fair. JMO.

I think they got drunk after the boat ride. The snapchat was at Kaitlyn and Shawn's hotel and her mom was being loud and they were told to keep the noise down. I read the snapchat description on another site.

^^plus to add there were a lot of empty cans  in a big plastic bag at the corner of the boat . Her mom even holding a glass of wine at some point at the snapchat video too   . Even K was showing some liquors left with his man taking a snap video with her and her man said something it's all good we have everything  ... Anyway that is their life . To its own .
