Like him or don't like him everyone talks about Nick, including the final couple. That's star staying power.    

Nick's not going anywhere when even last year's final couple and this year's final couple talk about Nick. They give Nick more attention than he does for himself. And he doesn't periscope or snapchat talking about them.

I agree that Kaitlyn and Shawn are the ones talking about Nick. They could choose to ignore those comments on periscope and avoid saying negative things about Nick. They are choosing to actively be involved in making statements about Nick. And negative statements at that.

On the contrary, Nick has said positive or neutral things about Kaitlyn and only stated the obvious about Shawn.. That he can't stop talking about Nick. And that maybe Shawn would like him better if he had tossed his ring in a more manly way.

One thing is clear. Everyone can't stop talking about Nick. Everyone has made comments about him. The media... The other contestants... Last year's F1...This year's F1... Last year's lead... This year's lead... CH... Mills... The producers... Contestants that weren't even on this season... Fans and non-fans alike. And it seems like no one wants to stop talking about him.

I say, let's finish his story so that everyone can stop talking. Let him hand out the roses and make his choice. Let him have his "happy ending" for better or worse.

So...along with a snap-chat, Periscope, and alcohol intervention, these two also need a "Nick" intervention? I just know that one day, they are going to appear on Couples Therapy/Celebrity Marriage Bootcamp/BIP/ breakup interview and it will be a glorious trainwreck that will make Jake and Vienna's breakup seem gracious in comparison.

We all do it. You personally have been questioning if we don't know something that Shawn knows about Nick? We defend our favs and get irritated at the ones we don't like. I get it, I seriously didn't see how anyone could look at Chris Soules and Whitney and not see that he was just not into her? I had to try to keep to the fan thread for Becca to help me and PMed my group that also failed to see it with Chris and Whitney. It is just hard when you don't have the majority opinion. It seems like maybe most who enjoy K&S are choosing to stay in the fan thread for their own sake. Plenty of the Nick Chicks did that just last summer.

I find that reading that K&S are still mentioning Nick sad. Simply because it is over. They don't even need to play nice since that is not their thing. How about "Who is that?" Just stop with the anti-Nick talk, except for the happy h@ters it isn't helping them. And if she wants DWTS it isn't helping that either. DWTS is supposed to be more family watching variety than TB. Drunken behavior and such isn't going to help her get that. The bachelor people who did were squeaky clean at the time. Trista and her new marriage, poor "dumped" Melissa, Jake before the break up, Sean the born again virgin, and even CS faking his engagement to Whitney to stay Prince Farming. Kaitlyn is dirtying her own image and doing herself no favors on the Disney network that she is tied to for a year.

If Kaitlyn wants DWTS instead of her own web series like Andi, she would do well to give all the debauchery a rest. JMO

Honestly, IMO, in order for Kaitlyn to choose Nick, Kaitlyn would have needed a different personality ... and I'm not wishing for anyone to change theirs just to please others or get a man/woman ... so Kaitlyn can have her personality and she chose the best fit for it.

The possibility of Kaitlyn choosing Nick would require a different character from the start... and then the season would be completely different also. So there's not a simple matter of the last 5 minutes of choosing Shawn over Nick ... there was always Shawn ... and Nick was always just a toy to play with, because that's the Kaitlyn we liked for the Bachelorette.

The girl who makes the world around her her playground. Good for her ... if she gets what she wants ... and especially if she puts energy into getting what she wants ... which, with her consistent SM activity, she obviously does ... puts time and dedication into her own personal reality-show on SC/periscope/twitter/web-site ... and I'm sure the scope of her actions is slowly showing the results ... the fans are there to watch, to follow ... over time she will need to capitalize on that ... and nothing's wrong with that picture, if that's what makes her existence meaningful.**

People do what they feel are able to do ... with their talents, their knowledge, their confidence and their values ... Kaitlyn's actions, past and present, define Kaitlyn ... I'm not saying she can't change... just saying that everything does leave a reflection ... after all we are the society who reacts upon the reflection and it happens often that we miss the meaning. JMO

ETA: ** My understanding is, that most commentators here see the meaning of life differently and believe that it's sad when people forget how the mechanism of life-circle works ... child, adolescence, coming of age, adulthood, maturity, senior years, with the responsibility to the community and the world... to make it a better place for our offspring ... because we should be able to think about what future we leave "behind" ... if there even will be anything to leave for new generations to come.

P.S. I vaguely feel for some reason this couple will last longer than Andi and Josh --  but they are still in the bubble so who can say -- certainly not Shawn or Kaitlyn.

 ITA ... it's like "Kardashian society" ... nothing wrong with (over-) sharing/exposing your own life for the money ... if you can make a living out of it - great for you ... if you can make people persuade to give "you the money", so that your life can get more glamorous - kudos to you ... if you can make a career by exploiting the insecurities and ignorance of others - more props to you ...

but at the end of a day the earth has moved 1.6 million miles on the orbit, only 24.900 miles with the surface at the equator around its own axis and about 32 million miles in the solar system in only 24 hours ...  natural disasters occur daily ... there's no insurance that the human lives will be here forever ... so we have to be prudent with the natural resources ... responsible and organized for the survival of our species and all the living on planet earth ... so that some few can have the fun and careless debate which outfit to pick today and which angle is best for the selfie.

I really can't remember any time where Shawn brought up Nick - the only time that Nick comes up is when someone asks either of them about him. From what I've seen the "constant need" to bring up Nick isn't coming from Shawn or Kaitlyn - it's coming from the interviewers / fans / posters. "We're" the ones who can't get over it.

DWTS / ABC need to determine if they want to reach that demographic and if viewership from that demographic will translate into advertising revenue. If they feel that it would then IMO they will pursue Kaitlyn for DWTS very hard because I don't think any other rumored contestant for the show can come close to bringing that SM centric group of viewers in like Kaitlyn would. Rather than give the debauchery a rest she needs to keep it up. If DWTS doesn't want to buy it someone else will.

Kim Kardashian has a net worth estimated at $52,500,000 by Forbes and she got that by being famous - with really no talent. A big part of why is that the Kardashians control production; Kaitlyn is doing the same thing with a cell phone and two free Apps (Snapchat and Periscope).

^^Plus the debauchery was started by ABC with their soft porn of N&S having sex with moaning and groaning. Actually now K&S seem tame.

the sad part is ... she, as the Kardashian-likes, are not adding any value to this society ... apart from maybe arguably we can say that high-society of Kardashiand-look-alikes are creating jobs for their servants.

I think it is true that we project our own values and morality on to all of the casts' actions and statements.  However, the demographic that morally objects to Kaitlyn having sex multiple times with a suitor, while proclaiming to be in love with another from day one, are the ones keeping up the discussion.  That is the demographic that reads articles and watches news shows.  Those that do not object, imo, are a great number of participants of Snapchat and Periscope, and tend to be glued to their phones,etc. rather than conversing with others. I see it all the time at restaurants.  I think the problem occurs when the two demos mix, and that is texting and twitter.   More than one invested viewer is sending Shawn/Kaitlyn messages asking why she had sex muliple times with Nick/said ILY, etc.  Shawn is constantly reminded and knows what happened, despite not watching parts of the show (which I personally do not believe).  His coping mechanism is to make fun of Nick, and yes, I find it immature, but I am the other demographic.  I like Nick, but he is also using his demo (twitter, news, print media, interviews) to make sure the audience knows exactly what really happened.  Like his age, that skews to a demographic that is 25 and above.  I would find K&S silly and offensive, no matter who was the F2, but I also do not watch Housewives, Jersy Shore, or the Kardashians.

K & S have a choice whether to answer a question about Nick or not.  Basically the whole time the show was airing, Kait chose to ignore and block anyone that dared asked or say something nice about Nick or say something mean or negative about Shawn.  So I'm not sure why they together could not choose to do the same now.  Being negative about Nick does nothing to help prove they are a wonderfully, happy couple that has moved on past the edit of the show.  It makes it appear as if Nick is still a sore point between/with them, whether he actually is or not.  

I won't even get into the immaturity of it.  And I'll leave her trying to become the next Kardashian type for another post.  I have a hard time believing she's going to put in the work and effort needed to do that.  I think she just likes to overshare, flits from one thing to another that happens to grab her attention at the time and has far too much free time on her hands currently since they're not working. JMO
