I'm not going to bash her, but I'll admit I'm a little disappointed. I think most of the Ben fans on here feel the same way I do, with a couple exceptions from yesterday. I had a strong feeling there would be a F2 proposal, so I'm not really all that shocked to hear what goes down. They gave us a lot of foreshadowing and there was no way we were getting a typical FRC with an obvious F1 at the end of this. I don't think Ashley meant for it to happen or that she's a mean person. I'll wait until I actually see what happens before I make a harsh judgment.

That's fair and very reasonable and what I'm going to do too.

So happy for both Ashley and JP!

Thank you ALL for making this season so enjoyable, especially since I was not all that excited about Ashley as the bachelorette. My oh my how things have changed :awesome: and JP - absolute total hotness!

ITA, Nutty. I was so sad for him when I read the spoilers. It had to have been a punch to the gut at the FRC. I also agree that if it were JP I'd feel the same way no matter how happy I was with the final couple. I liked DeAnna but was horrified when she let Jason get down on his knee and I wasn't even a Jason fan at that time. I can understand leading the f2 person on because that's how it's done on this show but not letting him get down on one knee and especially not letting him propose. It would be so easy to say stop and she had to know this could happen after he told her he loved her. I'm waiting to see what and how she does it before I say anything more.

I've read all the posts throughout both threads and I haven't seen anyone say that Ashley's a horrible person. People are just very sad for Ben and can't understand why she let him go so far.

I'm disappointed too but I'm not going to blame Ashley. He took a chance. I think you're right about Ben not picking up on Ashley's feelings. I think he was having such a great time with her that he didn't stop to question her enough. JP, OTOH, really had to know in order to take that leap so she gave him that reassurance.

Only one Ben fan yesterday sort of bashed Ashley. It was actually more JP bashing and it wasn't in either of these threads. The rest of us are mostly just disappointed. I can't really feel much more than that until I see how it went down.
