Here are my thoughts, for what they're worth (not much ):

I think the following facts may help to assuage some of the anger that may be directed towards TPTB/Ash next week:

1. These spoilers are going to spread all over the internet, so people will know what to expect.
2. RS is going to post the same thing tomorrow, so even more people will know.
3. ABC has even released a new promo showing both guys proposing.
4. The JPash love story has been so real from the very beginning.
5. The ATFR will show that everyone is fine and has moved on.

So while I think people will be upset, I don't think it will be anything near what the Deanna/Jason debacle was. .

Bottom line, the backlash will be pretty swift as well. The fact that it was done once before is bad enough..........now it is done again. And to make it worse, it seems like no effort was made to stop it. That is the very sad part for the F2........it is bad enough to be rejected, then to get down on your knees to propose to someone you love, just to end up being rejected. Not good. No matter who the final 2 is, proposing to someone is a special thing that usually only comes once for you.........now for that joy and one time thing to be "wasted" on someone that doesn't feel the same way and that person could of stopped him from being in that position to begin with, just isn't fair.........not much respect shown there.

Coastal, I think this is a very open-minded, open-hearted post. You and I did not see the same love story this season, but I really, really appreciate all your hard work.

just to clarify, the only part of that post that was Coastal's was the last paragraph. The rest is mnmhughs, that was cut and pasted from the locked thread. I have a feeling that you thought the first part actually came from her giggling

Thanks, I just read through everything. It is going to be horrible to watch, but I am happy I am prepared.

I really have very little respect for Ashley, letting Ben propose. Maybe I will feel differently after I see it, but I doubt it. I said this before I was certain who was F1, and if JP was F2, and she allowed him to propose, I'd feel the same way...just as I am sure all the JP fans would.

I'm leaving it with this...Ben deserves better.

Looking forward to this season being over.

It sucks that Ben proposed and I'm sick about it. But maybe he should have gotten confirmation of her feelings before hand. I have to give it to Ed, he was one smart cookie asking first. Ben took a chance and u can't blame Ashley for that. JMO

I disagree. I think Ashley could have stopped him. But I am not going to argue with anyone about it, it is done, and really, these people don't affect my real life at all.

Bhaka, you quoted properly, it's just that the other poster couldn't do an actual quote from the locked, full thread, so they had to cut and paste, and in doing that, it's hard to tell who's saying what.
