I find that surprising unless the nervousness was not because he didn't think he would be proposing but because he wanted to do everything right for the love of his life.

Even if he is sure he wants to marry her, it's still a big and serious step. I'll guess that he may still be thinking about Ashely's sister. He's anxious when he's not with her anyway. Maybe he was just afraid he would get the wrong ring. LOL!

I'm pretty sure it's in the spoilers at the beginning of the thread. JP was nervous and Ben was confident. I think the conversation with Ashley's sister did a number on him.

Thanks Gurlbrit for taking the time to retype that. There were so many wonderful details in that first post that I forgot this one. And 'scared' is an interesting word. But it's probably the Chrystie issue (like all of you have said) that got him worried. Bet that uncomfortable situation will eventually make it into Hebert/Rosenbaum family lore and it will be featured somehow in Chrystie's toast to the couple at their wedding!
