I find it fine that others feel that they can express their opinions.........when I try to do it, I get attacked for doing so and totally run over like a mack truck..........funny how standards only go one way......

Yes, you can blame Ashley for a portion of it........She allowed him to continue.......when he first went down on knee.........she should of immediately stopped it. That is what I blame her for..........it's called respect for someone that she says that she really cares for.

Dare I say.........if JP was the F2 and things happened the way they did with Ben.........this board would be alive with anger regarding how Ashley handled things but because it was Ben as the F2, the JP fans are fine with things to the point that they are saying that we should all cut the new couple some slack..........talk about a double standard here.

Okay, let's get real here! If it was JP who was F2 and rejected after proposing and he "stormed" off the way Ben did, we all know what we would be reading here! It would be all about how - I told you so! - JP was a psycho all along and this proves it, I was right, my sources warned all of you and here is the proof! So let's please not be insulting with this hypocrisy. Now that it's Ben, suddenly it's the crime of the ages. One would think that Ashley committed a capital offense! Oh my goodness! She didn't stop him before he proposed! Off to the gallows with her! Honestly, this is getting more aburd by the moment. This cherry picking of the faults of the guy you don't want to be F1 and then more cherry picking and accusing the lead of now being heartless to the core because she didn't pick your guy, is like a kid having a temper tantrum because he didn't get his way!

Sweet Ben is also somewhat complicit in this folks. He admitted he closed his mind to the thought that there was still another man in contention, and was probably overconfident. I suspect he ignored all of the signs that Ashley was trying to give him at the end that their relationship was more of a playful friendship than a passionate love affair. He probably went against his own better judgment and instincts when he let the producers persuade him into a proposal, which also probably accounted for some of his anger directed at Ashley (which unconsciously was probably really aimed at himself for buying into the whole thing in the first place).
Ultimately, after a week or so, I have no doubt all will be well. This couple seems strong enough to weather the storm, and fans will forgive, while nonfans will forget and move on to somebody else to obsess over. Ben will, if he hasn't already, realize that this was unrequited love or infatuation that was never meant to be, but that it probably served him extremely well in finally opening him up to the possibility of real love with the right woman when he finds her. And CH will live to lie another day. .










Regarding the bolded and underlined..........I find really hard to swallow. You weren't there ironcat so to assume it was all the producers fault is wrong. Not to mention putting any kind of blame on Ben.....again, wrong. I believe that yes, the producers had a hand in it to some extent, but moreso, Ashley has a brain and a heart herself.........if she wanted to show Ben respect(not to mention herself and JP) she wouldn't of allowed Ben to say his whole proposal but would of stopped him earlier, as in when he first went down on his knee, as she should of assumed something like that may happen and show some iota of respect. IMO. And again, to assume you know how Ben see's things wrong!! Again, you weren't there.........unless you were hiding behind the camera and haven't said so........
