They didn't - it's weird that Jared seemed SO into her from the second she got there and even in that kiss, he seems very into it. For him to do such a 180 and "break up" with her after one conversation seems weird. I wonder if other stuff happened that they didn't show. Like if the guys were teasing him for dating an older woman or something.

Possible that he got wind that she wanted to be more serious than what he appears to be. He did start off by telling her that one needs a lot more time for things to develop that they could have in paradise.
Its also possible that he started noticed her "issues" but chose to throw in the age difference instead. Either way Jared has not heard the end of it.

Starting the new BIP season off with a wedding of Marcus & Lacey may have scared some of the guys like Jared who really were just looking to have a vacation and just date. He didn't really have that much alone time with Kaitlyn before he fell in love with her in my opinion. But to recover from him chasing after Kaitlyn to immediately going to BIP mindset of several women chasing him wanting a love affair like M & L is unrealistic. Clare bluntly layed it out for Zack last season that she wanted him to have all his eggs in her basket. She doesn't want to get burned again and as a result puts too much pressure on any interested guy way too fast, just IMO.
