She got JP. I don't think she cares about the other stuff. At least, she shouldn't!

well.............
Ashley wanted to sent ben home earlier but the producers said that what was needed was another man to propose. She said that she could not say more than that because she was still under contract
1. ashley spiney knew all along because RTVZone was TONIGHT live and if she knew this info it must be before the finale. I do not see ash texting ashley spiney to tell that now in the middle of the crazyness medias
2. ash never wanted to humiliate ben and the producers put her on this position
Some said that it is very possible that the producers played ben saying that ashley was falling etc .... and possibly told ashley that in order for ben to be next bachelore he needed to propose and be rejected
what you think? possible? .... heck yeah!
I totally believe it. Once I saw Ben leaving in that pathetic little boat, I knew that this whole thing was carefully orchestrated by the producers to humiliate him. There's talk on the Ben thread now that Ash should have just defied producers if that was so, and stopped the proposal anyway. What do you think would have happened had she done that? Would she be in violation of her contract?
I can't believe she went along with the whole F2 proposal like the producers wanted her to and then they still gave her a bad edit and didn't tell her the truth about Bentley.
I'm still not over the boat scene either.
that was such a ridiculous scene::
small shitty boat.... riding the waves to the empty horizon and the plane on top of him....... and ben turning his head with anger.........
can you find more cliche than that???????? DUHHHH
ETA: i think they wanted us to think that ben was going back to California on this boat................

You guys only told that “Cupcake” story on the premiere, but fans kind of took to it. So JP, are you calling Ashley “Cupcake” now?
JP: Occasionally, but not as frequently as she would like.
Ashley: He will, don’t worry.
JP: I’ve got a lot of other pet names thrown in the mix.
Is “Can’t Fight This Feeling” going to be your wedding song?
JP: It will definitely be played, that’s a guarantee.
Ashley: It could be our wedding song.
JP: It might be.
Ashley you said JP is the best kisser. What makes him a great kisser? And, JP, is Ashley a great kisser?
JP: It’s about time someone asked that question!
Ashley: I have to tell you — I know there are a lot of girls on this line — I have to say JP is the best kisser, I mean, that I’ve ever kissed. And even very early on when I wasn’t 100 percent emotionally attached to him, when I kissed him I thought, “That’s the best kiss I’ve ever had.” I don’t know what it is! There’s like this electricity between us and just the way he kisses? Ugh!
JP: Hold on a second. [Pause while he kisses her]
JP: My reaction is, kissing really takes two. I could be the best kisser in the world, but if she’s not kissing me back then it’s going to be awful. So I think she’s the best kisser I’ve ever kissed as well. And it takes two, it really does.
Ashley: Thanks babe!
JP: You’re welcome.
I've missed so much and still trying to catch up, but this is totally my favorite article so far! It's so hilarious!! I'm glad Ashley isn't giving up on the cupcake thing. Break him down, girlfriend!! It's so funny what she says about his kisses before their emotional attachment. Adorbs x1,000,000 :D
ETA: I just got to the comment about her ass. I mean, that might be my favorite one now. LOL! No wonder Ashley is a confident woman now.

Big: You know, Manhattan has a lot of beautiful women.
Carrie: What an amazing observation!
Big: But the thing is, after awhile, you just wanna be with the one who makes you laugh.

The producers are not your friends, although they brainwash you into thinking they are, like Stockholm Syndrome. The deprivation and lack of interaction with family/friends creates the environment where the lead is going to trust the producers and depend on them. I'm sure they convinced her that she had to go along. They were holding a lot over her head at that point, as far as her contract, pay, next 3 months of media obligations to the show, not to mention controlling her ability to meet/speak with her chosen one. How much of a choice did she really have?

yes. I think it is truly an emotional roller coaster. They play not only the emotional part and the lack of sleep and the drama (sister F2 etc)
CH said that it was obvious from HK that she picked JP. The producers heard her and knew perfectly JP was the one. They cannot do that for 22 seasons not knowing how to play them and use them.
Jason was very explicite tonight at RDVZone about this: producers do play and lie to get what they want. JesseC said the same, GraigR also on behalf Frank...

from everything we hear every season, it just sounds like they are all so broken down by the end. Sleep deprived, isolated, put through the emotional ringer... in prime position to be messed with. And the producers are ready and willing to take full advantage at that moment, to make "the most shocking finale ever!"

You just named two things that irritated me most about that scene:
1. The seaplane. Were they trying to make us think that it was JP in there? Was it really him? Surely it couldn't be him since there was at least two hours between both proposals? It was so tacky.
2. Where the heck was Ben going in that boat?! There was nothing in sight! If they wanted us to think that he was going back to California in that boat, then they really do think the viewers are stupid.
I also hated how the boat rode right past Ashley, too. They really wanted to humiliate Ben. I'm also convinced they hate Ashley.

I'll repeat what I said when it aired...
It reminded me of the scene in Godfather II when the guy takes Fredo out fishing in a little boat... and we know how well that turned out.

that was my gut reaction as soon as I saw that. I thought, "there's no way that is JP's plane but they want us to believe it is!" And yes, I also thought it was ridiculously tacky.

I remember RS specifically revealing that Frank wanted to leave much earlier. He seemed to have reservations almost right from the beginning. He wanted to go back to his girlfriend, but they made him stay until FD and also go through that farcical scene with his girlfriend supposedly agreeing to take him back. The producers must really think their viewers are stupid if they think we bought one minute of that incredibly awkward scene. I think that had a lot to do with Frank not showing up for the MTA.
They can exert a great deal of psychological and emotional pressure to get the lead to do what they want. I was encouraged to at least hear that Ashley wanted to let Ben go earlier. So she was thinking of him and how devastating this could be. I think TPTB were determined to get their two men down on one knee proposal, no matter what. I do agree with others that the worst part was seeing Ben leave in that ridiculous boat, going right past Ashley and off into God knows where!

Um, should she thank us? I kid, I kid.
Casey's Cupcakes quickly expands along the West Coast!
Casey's Cupcakes quickly expands along the West Coast!
Casey Reinhardt, Laguna Beach alum and founder of Casey's Cupcakes, is ecstatic with the growth of her cupcake boutique! "This success has gone well beyond my expectations and I could not be happier," she says.
Casey opened her first store in December 2009 at the Historic Mission Inn and Spa in Riverside, Calif., and the rapidly expanding business can also be found at select California Bloomingdale's. Casey's growing list of celebrity fans includes Doug Reinhardt, Kirsten Dunst and Cloris Leachman. The mouthwatering cupcakes cost $3.50 each -- in flavors such as Razzmatazz Raspberry, Decadent Dark Chocolate and Rockin' Red Velvet -- and leave customers satisfied but still coming back for more!
Haven't tried one of her sweets? Check out Casey's website for locations!

I still think that Ashley wanted to send all of the rest home after Taiwan. That emotional crying PI scene was not about dumping Lucas. IMO.
