JJ Lane - BIP Season 2 - Discussion

Assuming that he does not stick his foot in his mouth too much on his last episode next week his intention for going on BIP was achieved.

BIP would have been and will be a complete snoozefest without him so glad he is on this show and we got to see another side of him.

Actually, I was pretty indifferent to him on Kaitlyn's season. I did not see him as a major villain at all - at least compared to past villain. It's only from SM and the way he comes over in real life that have started to really make me dislike him. Again jmho.

I do not see JJ as a hero or a villain. I find him to be a bit full of himself and definitely enjoying his 15 minutes. The whole villain edit was ridiculous as is the showdown between JJ and Joe. They are both so overly dramatic so as to not even be believable. JMO

I love JJ ...warts and all. He has been kind and protective of the women on this show which is more than I can say for Joe. I also love his quick wit and his ability to laugh at himself. JMOAA.

JJ is in 32-ish right? Considering that i-bankers start as analysts right out of undergrad at 22-23, it seems like he was working and probably making a LOT for a long while, so it's not completely out of the blue that he'd have enough saved up to be unemployed or marginally employed for a few years.  A lot of people also burn out of i-banking so it isn't particularly shocking that he needed some time off, divorce/cheating issues or not.

Overall, good for him for playing the field and enjoying life (and knowing that his 15 minutes are up by having a job lined up for the fall ).  I tend to think of JJ as the type of guy who is kind of cocky and arrogant, but is ultimately a really good, funny dude and probably the type of guy you want to be friends with and have in your corner.

I never thought I would be making SCs of JJ, but..he was looking pretty good on the boat.

I've always had a thing for his quirks & intellect, and I now I'm going to have to add handsome to his attributes.

He can do so much better else where

JJ came out on top on BIP.
He got the redemptive edit and was even called a hero by James Gunn who makes hero movies.
Not too shabby at all.
