According to RS, the lead has to accept a proposal from someone. If she gets proposed to by both, she still has to accept one. So how did RS get foiled then? Basically, K had to choose one of the guys at the end and could not leave alone. So why would TPTb even now play it like even her leaving alone is an option?

^^ True that but still surprised RS would not have known this already.

Also interesting that in the Us interview about Shawn with Ch and Kait, Shawn and K's relationship is described as romantic and K refers to S as a reserved gentleman with a good heart. While other interviews talk about her chemical connection with Nick. So even in print, they are painting the romantic F1 vs lustful F2.

Also, not sure I care for CH referring to K wanting to take care of Shawn and her reasoning for telling him about sex with Nick was her way of protecting him??? The whole thing makes no sense and almost paints K and S as dear friends or something. Just odd language from CH IMO.

I really don't think Kaitlyn is bright. She misplaces the blame for any negativity thrown her way onto those who have the smallest voice and smallest influence instead of where it belongs - the show she chose to go on. Yes she chose to have sex, etc, but they edited her as a sex-focused, shallow person and she never once has called TPTB out.

And there is Shawn also misplacing the blame for his situation - Nick... when it is just the show he chose to go on and the woman he decided to pursue.

These two could both use a good dose of accountability and take responsibility for their own actions and put the blame where it lies the most - on themselves and the show which they chose to be a part of and are still not expressing any dislike for the show or TPTB.

I guess I understand why they don't, because without jobs currently, it is hard to bite the hand that feeds one. jmo

^^^ isittrue, Oh I disagree. I interpreted Chris H.'s words totally different. I believe he was saying Kait's number one priority is and always has been Shawn. She wants to protect him because she is in love with him. ;) It is almost Monday! We will all see for ourselves.

They have done the romantic final 1 vs. the lustful final 2 many times before.

^^ oh I agree that he has always been her top priority. I just did not care for CH caregiver description. Like she is protecting him from something or chose him because she couldn't hurt him. Just odd CH goofy speak laugh out loud

Interesting indeed.... IMO, I think Clint saw right through her and that's why he "checked out" after their date. Especially listening to Clint speak at the MTA, Kaitlyn was way over her head with Clint. I think he posted that song to make a point, love the last verse, how fitting.

I actually think most of the guys from the show feel the same way but cannot say so publicly.
Clint the villian doesn't care and Ian apologized for what he said b/c he couldn't handle the backlash on him.
I think most of the guys are scared of the backlash and being painted the way Nick was last year.
Media can make or break them and they are going to pander to that common denominator, imho.

Not for one minute do I think Cupcake or Ben H actually want to marry Kaitlyn after having watched the show and have no regrets about being let go. They are just do the politically correct thing, imo, and playing the game, sticking with their bro Shawn (as I am sure they will if Shawn and K break up).

Those first SM pics of Cupcake & Ben both looked sooo happy we thought they may have made it farther than they did.
The one dude who was not grinning like mad? Shawn.
And he was F1 with his usual RBF on surrounded by family for his b-day and the premiere of his love story.

Imho, the happiest guys on SM post-filming have been the ones who were let go.
B/c they dodged a bullet and are thankful for that, IMHO. :Nod:

I think I've posted this before but IMHO, RS is full of s**t when he cites a contractual obligation to get engaged. IMO the show wants an engagement and will do everything they can to get one, but they did not get one on Brad's first season, nor did they get one on Juan Pablo's season and if there actually was a contractual obligation both seasons would have ended with an engagement.

The show doesn't advertise their contracts but there's at least one contract posted on the WWW for anyone to read - Trista's contracts are here. Trista had two - one which covered her appearance as the bachelorette and a second one which covered the rights to televise her wedding; modern contracts include the rights to a wedding so no one else can collect the $1,000,000 fee Trista did. Trista was under no obligation to get engaged that I could find.

Cupcake and Ben were in the bubble too don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The "bubble" is a powerful thing. Most guys who go on the bachelorette come out saying they were not into the girl. It does not take long for the bubble to burst. Jillian had that happen to her. Ed and Wes were the only ones "into" her. Ed and Jill gave it a go in the real world for almost a year.

In Ben's case, his bubble started bursting during the show because of what Kait said to shawn.

I suspect Shawn and Nick are the guys "into" kait. And vice versa. TWT, as it always does with any couple coming off the show, if Shawn and Kait make it long term. ;)

Looking forward to the finale and especially the ATFR. Smiley

Simply stated, I believe K is not well liked by TPTB.
If TPTB wanted shocked, they could have played up a love story with the F2 making a switcheroo last minute.
Instead they are painting she chose no one. That is generally considered an unhappy/negative love story. As hard as it is for moi to believe, there are people who watch this for a love story giggling

So TPTB tout the ending as a bummer?
It will be interesting to see if they are given lots of promo outside the immediate promo bubble or if they fade off until break up like JPG and MEandI.
