Michael seems so much "lighter" than when he first started on the show.  Sam really appears to energize him. They were mutually affectionate which is what I would expect from a budding romance. I thought Sam talking about their moments of shared silence was very poignant. I also liked that she asked about fitting into his lifestyle and that the focus was on "time".  Him answering with how he had already put the needed focus on his own career and was ready to channel his energy into supporting her goals was really lovely.

that is also what I saw

ep1: preconceived notion of an athlete bachelor being a player - he opened up immediately and did not turn around the bush and both agreed with the "why not", knowing who they are and what they want. same knew ep1, he was genuine. She receive the assurance that he is interested. I shared a small extract of body language when she meet michael and she IS very nervous: touching her hair, balancing her arms (like sasha), looking at the crew when he leaves, biting her lip. Those are signs that she was attracted to him immediately.



ep2: he jumped the cliff with no hesitation, small sign that he is also an adrenaline lover and they have this in common. Prods left the ILY, Sam to prepare us for the "more". again they are on the same page. At the cocktail she became this mama bear protecting her cub. She could not react this strong unless she previously had another conversation. I am thinking on top of the hill each guy got their moment. She was already into him to defend him against anyone.
SD with dave is like every first date, fun but nothing romantic.
I would like to raise your attention that her comment about: nobody ever done that before for me, ever... right after sasha was a cut. If you listen to end, sam says; FIRST (did not catch the expression) but she raised her arms in the air and looked at osher and osher was out of control next to her



ep3: Dog GD. The choice of dog was already a sign. She also flirted way more with him. He did not know anything special and she had a hard time to explain why she picked him. She immediately told him she wanted to spend more time but because of the prods she cannot. She has the 2nd assurance that the guy is genuine and interested. The ground is there to move on.
This episode is all about sasha to introduce the F2. Tango and staged kiss. However, she got her time with michael and it was said later that it took a full afternoon with him... which is couple of hours to talk in depth. Cocktail: she said he impressed her at the previous cocktail party (right after david left we saw michael next to her to comfort her) and also the extended 1-1 date they had yesterday together. At this point, michael has a lot of talk time with sam, she said that she appreciate he is opening up because with the other guy she does not go anywhere with them... huge clue. so Tango was first and then dog GD after. So when she says she does not go anywhere, it means that she was frustrated with sasha obviously, but not with michael.



ep4: the 4th guy enter: Alex. Great date. Plane activity with little talking. The date is superficial. Nice guy that assure him a place in top 4. Alex faded after this date. GD introduce F3: richie. Nice sweet guy who already had a crush on her before he met her. same family background, assure him to be in top 4. Good day but then we see a very very happy sam at the cocktail. Totally at ease, gorgeous. When she arrives, she goes straight to michael, richie and will. Dear will who said that sam wanted to sashayed on a red carpet. Michael immediately took her and gave the fun facts cards. She was very very touchy-feeley with him. she put her hand on his leg, her body language was extremely flirty. she was beaming. This was the first time I truly saw sam happy and funny. Toni makes a comment she likes him a lot. Zoom on unhappy sasha who is the direct competition. Then the 4 gift, which comes after the fun cards.

ep5: double death date versus kids GD. Big clues given by prods. Fairytale, prince and princess story, sasha saying "say goodbye to sam" to the kids, and instead of consolidate her relationship with sasha after the kiss, she picks michael for another extended afternoon of talking. no activity, again long hours to know each other. She showed who she was which is clumsy, etc. Then huge clue: she made fun cards in her own hand (not typed, no prods). she did not reciprocated the same with sasha. only michael. She gave him the green light about kissing her, used her voucher. She took charge for what she wanted (Osher reference). She also give him a rose which never happened in GD. The emotional was built for 4 episodes, episode 5 they entered the next physical step of their relationship. Cocktail was uneventful, just prods to play with richie insecurities (dave and kayne) preparing and justifying his next single date

ep6: circus GD, extended date with Dave. Sam make sure to say to michael: no you are not out yet, sasha can still miss it. The winner is pretty much out of her hand. She cope with Dave time who needed nice words after the kid mess time. Then richie date, again big activity with no talking time. Fun, sweet. Prods want to send dust and make us believe that laugh is top priority in a relationship. Richie justify his F3 position. No coktail, useless drama with davey.

At this time, the only person who spent a lot of talking time is michael. He had a full PM, a full evening... with no activities that do not allow any kind of intimacy. The "take your time and love will come quikly" and the "prince michael and princess sam fairytale" are in place. Michael is frontrunner but still hidden by prods until hometown. There is a reason why he did not have a single date because the date would have been way too obvious. Meanwhile sasha had no talking time, no extended time, no fun cards to return the gift favor... since episode 4. A long time. This is not a progression of a person deeply interested so far.

ep7:  cooking diner and 2nd single date with sasha which probably came first. Sasha when he receive the card repeated again that he did not have time with sam for a long time BUT michael had 2 long dates with her. So he clearly said that the connection was lost for a while, not in constant progression. Sam at this stage did not gave any signs that she was chasing sasha, but she sure did with michael (voucher, fun cards, you can kiss me whenever you want, etc)

Then painting single date with sasha. It was a nice date indeed. However it was staged for a long time. Sam is involved in this charity because her beloved stepfather died of a stroke. Prods knew of course that sasha grandfather died of a stroke too. The 4 gift was a previous announcement that sasha is a painter too. no coincidence. The same way the kiss was staged, this painting was staged. Sasha is a great guy but he was played to be F2. She liked him a lot, no doubt about it. But I think people believed for love interested is only a girl who is very affectionate and she likes the guys. So I did not see romance in this date, I saw a first single date. The questions were just as if they never talked before and they probably did not since sasha was complaining so much about missing time with her at the tango date.
Last diner: everything was centered on michael... he opened the door (poor alex who felt so uncomfortable to be ignored), the main plate "poisson d'amour", immiately her assuming that michael prepared the table settings, the "i love it already" soulmate and picking michael, the looks she had for him.... I did not see much interest except our pouting dave. dave who stared at sasha after the soulmate card. Dave who did not like michael much but was very very close (same as davey) with sasha from episode 1.

ep8: millions of butterflies, anxious, excited, next step in a relationship, overwhelming... those are only few I remember out of my head. I missed you so much.... babe mention... jumping on his hips (like ashley and JP)... the "I adore you" comment from michael... the cuddle on the boat... then the parents.
Parents for her was probably huge, she said it: I know how important to me it is... TO ME. I think at this time, she was worried to be accepted because she has no money, she is coming from a normal family and obviously michael and his parents are millionaires. So she was very insecure if she would be totally accepted... and of course we saw how much she was. Prods left the last kissy portion of his parents: she is lovely, dad ITM saying that they are spectacular and would love to see them together, mother and dad insisting that michael was beaming around her, that she got under his skin and mom saying that if she did not picked him, he would take a long time to recover........ huge statement from parents. Michael was beaming at his parents, he was very affectionate in front of them, she reciprocated naturally, she beamed when he said at table that he was into deep.
3 different ITM from sam, the very personal message to his father: I know where he got his good look, eh david? .... she called his dad at a time SIR on the balcony, then during one ITM she call his dad David? Of course he probably at one point gave her the permission but it showed IMO that she was very nervous to make a great impression. The soft spot mention, the proud to have in-laws, the "I felt part of the family".... again huge relieve at this point. not only she is accepted but expected to be michael girlfriend: you can come whenever you want, even without michael. you made it easy. I do not think any australian, canadian, american whatever ... even the kangaroos have a single doubt how much she was accepted with opend arms by michael's family ...
And then the  "I am so happy to see you" and the "I will miss you so much" (same as tomorrow when she will say: I missed you so much)... so much.. as I love you so much. It cannot be ignored at this stage..
The adorable goodbyes when we see a beaming sam... in fact I was almost chock to the point that it was almost not her face at the last portion of the hometown. The litle girl with her hands on her back... like a giddy girl jumping dancing of happiness.
She had the perfect homedate.... and sam says on one of the 3 ITM: I have 3 more families to meet and this is going to be hard... hard because she knows that she will have to meet nice people knowing they will never be her in-laws...

everything is in place.

we had 4 episodes with the emotional knowing each other
we had 3 episodes with physical attraction
we had "I am in, if you want me" and "in deep" assurance
we had parent approval and all in and into deep michael assurance

next is just consolidation of falling madly in love.

ep9: in interview she stated few weeks back that she is the kind of girl who will not change her name and will be the one to propose... guess what we got on the whales boat. Michael wants the same love as his parents have for 41 years. He wants that and need that. In an interview he said that he met tons of girls attracted for his $$ and some for flings. He was not impressed. So IMO, he needs a girl like sam. He described her very well and so far none of the other described her: she is an adorable little clumsy prankster with a flip side of serious, caring and nurturing. So it is clear that he accepts her the way she is... and this lead us to alex date when she said that she wants to be accepted the way she is with good and bad... unconditionally.
michael said he was falling in love. she asked him what would be her status and he also told her that he would support her no matter what she decides.... far from the troffy wife he said when he was still a kid of 23 year old (and I am pretty sure he never said that but the mags deformed his words and it was only the title of the article: he wants a troffy wife).... so we have a mature michael, 34 years old, who admitted to have done crazy poop in the past, who is ready NOW to have a long term relationship, proposal, marriage, kids in a normal progression of life....

and we have sam, who is always beaming, happy, grinning, cuddly, affectionate, calling him babe, dressing for her date with care for a very romantic aquarium diner, calling him gorgeous during the show and making allusion on twitter with her gorgeous boyfriend, copying the BIG sash from michael, moking the mags for the last 5 days like michael who radiates happiness for the last 5 days.

Most are convinced of a fake calculated michael, playing with medias, rude about his overnight and hot missed scenes comments....

I really do not see it that way.

I see a guy who know the medias for 15 years. I see a guy who knows that it is the last miles of a 5 months road in hidding, I see a very in love guy who was given permission yesterday on radio to say that he is in a relationship and happy. so happy that everyone in the studio was laughing about how obvious sam picked him.

Sam gave clues in the last month, mostly during her radio interviews when her words could not be deformed.

I know michael is the one and I know they fell madly in love. no doubt.

Sam got her Cinderella happy ending. The little girl who was unloved and a prince decided to choose her for an ever after.

Amazing date, those are the kind you take your F1 on. She sure wasn't cuddly with Sash as she was with Michael. Just not seeing the spark there with Sasha, she was more into Richie than into Sasha I thought.

You have captured their moments better than I could have!

She also used Michael "a blessing" phrase while responding to Sasha.
I also noticed how she totally forgot to even say bye to sasha when Michael grabbed her at the kids party! It was like she had totally forgotten about him and couldnt wait to go hang with Michael. Very different from her reaction when David interrupted her Michael time
