The Bachelorette 11 - Kaitlyn Bristowe - Epi 9 July 13th - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

I hope Nick doesn't even bother. Kaitlyn made her choice and isn't going to change. I think she acted fairly recklessly all season, but to me living in the moment and acting without any consideration for others are not the same.

Kaitlyn is really just a MeKaitlyn too, so she is not going to give Nick an answer that would satisfy him, and honestly the kind of answer that might help Nick would hurt her relationship with Shawn. Better to just let it go. Nick seems much better this summer, so I hope he has.

In all of the shows I've watched from this franchise I am hard pressed to think of one that didn't portray the lead as confused until the last moment - when a sudden moment of clarity came to them as they were putting on underarm deodorant and they knew who they were going to pick. When themes like this repeat season after season I see nothing but producer story line behind it. I do not believe that Kaitlyn was confused at all and I need look no farther than the MTP dates we saw last Monday to support that; her mind was made up - probably long before that date.

I remember you saying similar things about Chris and Whitney last season, that it was always her and there was no confusion. Yet after the show finished airing, he acted like he couldn't have been less interested in Whitney and now recently he started following Becca on Twitter, even though she's not even following him. So do you still think it was all about Whitney? Just wondering.

I think plenty of leads have been legitimately confused and it doesn't take away from the feelings they have/had for their chosen one. This show is not a Hollywood rom com, where a boy meets girl, they fall madly in love, overcome some obstacle and live happily ever after. It's several relationships going on at the same time and since people aren't interchangeable, there are bound to be things you love about one that the other one doesn't have and so on. Then add to that the pressure of seeing a long-term future. Considering how little they know each other by the time the filming ends, it's no wonder they're confused. Even if their heart knows what it wants, their head can, and I'm sure does, get in the way.

I do agree that Kaitlyn seemed more giddy around Shawn and his family, but I don't think it's necessarily an indication of her feelings for Shawn being that much stronger. The vibe around Nick's family was surely different because she knows they've been through this before and were clearly very concerned. I can see why it would be more light-hearted around Shawn's family and I truly believe she fell in love with them. His sisters are pretty great, especially the older one.

As for the ILY "reveals", they were different too, because Shawn prefaced his as "there's something I need to get off my chest", so she was expecting something bad and was relieved as well as happy. She seemed really happy when Nick said it too, pulling him in for a kiss, saying "Promise?" the second time he said it. I do think she felt strongly for him too, but she can't have them both so...

I am telling you all if Shawn and Nick would just get along, Kaitlyn could have her own TLC show of the brother husbands. Oh well.

Oh and yeah, love the CS reference, watch the Dan Patrick interview. It was totally Whitney from day one, because he knew he could get fake engaged to her. I think lots of peoe get caught up in spoiled F1 and discount other relationships as they grow. I did it with Des. So glad I was wrong there.

Glad Kaitlyn is with Shawn, I think she is unstable right now. So if she is going to break down let Shawn deal with it. JMO

I don't think K was confused as to WHOM she was going to pick. I think she struggles with "dumping" them.

Think about it: You meet the families. They put the pressure on you. You feel you owe them....After sharing all these special moments she has to let one go. She looks like a hypocrite, no matter which way she turns.

It doesn't mean that she didn't enjoy spending time with Nick. It's just that the feeling she had with S was superior to what she felt with N. If you watch closely, you see how she tries to stay cool when N lays it on thick...

It was so much easier with Kupah But after the speedy process from meeting online (match.com meets The Bachelor family), flirting on SM (to keep up with the modern world), going on the dates (nothing exclusive bro'), sex ... lots of sex, meeting the parents (to figure our how your children might turn out) ... it was time to go separate ways. Not an easy way to dump the guy when you have to make sure, that he continues to love you ... because that's the promise he needs to keep ... love her anyway.

I agree with almost everything you said, except that asking Nick if he promises that he loves her is not playing it cool and she was not backing off on the physical affection at all. If they weren't going all the way that day it seemed when the camera panned out that Nick's hands were going for her butt again and she was not rejecting that at all. JMO

Either advertently or inadvertently, K was pretty emotionless when Nick professed his love to her. When Shawn did it, she wanted to melt into his arms, according to her blog, and according to what I saw as well. I don't think she's really that conflicted in truth, just stressed out by the situation and scared of the unknowns. Jmo.

She sure seemed to melt into Nick's arms too after the family visit.

They have chemistry but I think it's mostly or even just sex. I haven't seen her giving him the type of reassurance she's always given Shawn. Maybe I don't pay enough attention to their scenes but her behavior with the two is vastly different imo. What she tells Shawn is pretty much that he has to get through this and then she'll never explore another relationship, he has to be strong, blahblah. Nick seems to be all sex all the time.

I think Shawn is so damned needy and insecure, that he needs constant reassuring, and having his ego stroked.  jmo

I see the same thing too Alanna, she's pretty much checked out where Nick is concerned. However, I do think that Shawn's edit is showing him as a "meathead" which doesn't enamour him to me at all.

The hope is that these two will fade into the background once AFTR is over, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
