The Bachelorette 11 - Kaitlyn Bristowe - Epi 9 July 13th - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

To be fair, K said she'd seen Chris naked.  Now, more than likely it lead to sex, unless she dared him to strip or streak and then just sat and observed.  

As for when she said it, I believe Whitney and Chris were already done and she (Kaitlyn) knew it...it just hadn't been publicly announced.  Because she is clearly team Whitney and I don't think she'd have said something to intentionally hurt Whit or their relationship (both hers and Whit's and Whit and Chris').  That's not to say that she wouldn't have blurted it out without thinking if Chris and Whitney were still going strong, but I think she'd have tried to cover or have apologized for exposing info that could've been harmful to their relationship.  But let's get real...it wasn't surprising news.

I don't want to make too big a deal out of it, but just like we can assume that Kaitlyn probably had sex with Shawn and Chris, even though we were never told, we can assume that Nick had sex with Julie, a smoke show who is half-naked In most pics and wasn't traveling to CHI to have deep conversations.

I don't care who initiated sex, Nick and Kaitlyn both had the right to say no. If Nick wanted to spare his family the embarrassment and himself the emotional vulnerability that comes after sex, he could have said no. Obviously, he listened to his genitals and hormones over his brain, just like Kaitlyn.

Everything I thought about the episode has already been said by others. My comment is about the preview for the finale.

K is almost giddy as she tells her family that " both men hate each other". First, I do not believe that N hates S and I do not recall him ever saying that word on the show, and I do not see him as the type of guy to use that word towards S. N said he has no respect for S. Huge difference.

It is the childish S who cannot stand the sight of N, so much that he blasted him verbally, and instructed N never to speak to him or about him ever again. Pretty sure that S has used the word hate, even if we never saw it.

K likes drama. Maybe neither man used the exact word, but she feeds off of S's highly charged emotions and his dislike of N. It's very sad, to me, that S is incapable of having a mature conversation with N. It's a juvenile and meathead move. But, it seems like K likes a juvenile and immature partner. That way she can be crazy and brash as well. I think that N (as well as some of the other men) actually would have made K a better person. By that, I mean more mature, able to think through to the consequences gor her actions, and just have a different viewpoint on things. aka they would have made her grow up.

Now I can see why her relationship in the past did not last. She is suppose to be a grown woman and yet she act like a 16 yrs, she was neither ready for prime time nor is ready for a grown man. She wants a boy well she got her self a boy toy after all he is younger than her.

My opinion on Nick as Bachelor, though I'm indifferent to Ben H (find him so unemotional, rehearsed sounding and bland) and even though I find Nick a more interesting character I am currently suffering from major Nick fatigue and couldn't handle a third full season of him.

I also found the following little nugget interesting:

On SM people gave Nick flack that he said he did not know that Shawn had just spend the whole day and night with Kaitlyn.  The producers were keeping him "in the dark" so that he would be as unaware of her interactions with Shawn as possible.  Nick goes to talk to Shawn conveniently the morning after Shawn's overnight date.  Of course some viewers assume it was to ruin Shawn's "afterglow".  Again all producer manipulation with timing.


Contrasting, it is interesting that Shawn knew Nick was spending the day and night with Kaitlyn during their overnight date, because there were shots of Shawn brooding over the fact and saying that he did not want to think about it.  IMO, the producers told Shawn what Nick and Kaitlyn were doing to get a rise out of him.  Which then led to the confrontation in Nick's room.  Why do viewers not also question Shawn's shady motives to disrupt Nick's afterglow?  

Double standards by producers.  And by viewers.  All around shady.  All involved have to see the circus that they were a part of and see the hypocrisy of it all.

IMO both "meetings" were the result of producer manipulation - the only real drama they can create after Kaitlyn told Shawn about having sex with Nick was to fuel and show conspicuously the rivalry between Nick and Shawn and that's exactly what they did.

But that said if Nick was truly upset about Shawn mentioning he had just returned from his overnight date with Kaitlyn then IMO Nick needs to rewatch the footage of him telling the guys about his 1-1 date in Dublin where he did a bit more than just casually mention it.

Obviously him just mentioning the word intimate didn't clue one of them that they actually had sex. If so, Shawn wouldn't have been so blindsided when she told him.

For me this is the same storyline as Andi's season.... Nick has interesting/intelligent conversation (which I have yet to see), said I feel such chemistry with Nick, blah, blah, blah it's the exact same thing that came out of Andi's mouth, at this point it's so ridiculously obvious...... Gosh, it was so refreshing not to be invested into this season.... But yeah go Kaitlyn/Shawn....

Yeah, to me, it was pretty obvious that Shawn specifically mentioned spending the night to imply sex. It was totally a jab. I think Nick's thing was different, because Sharleen even talked about how the producers will have you keep repeating your date to all the guys when there is such a huge group left.

For me, it's proof enough that 0/10 guys insinuated sex happened when Nick told the story and 1/1 guy insinuated sex when Shawn told the story.

I think it's a little different if someone is coming off an overnight... no one expects it on a normal 1on1. and it just rung very fake to me when Nick acted all superior saying he had no idea they would have spent the night together. like he was so intentionally trying to occupy the moral high ground. Isn't he the one preaching to anyone that will listen that we should be honest about sex...

IMO the problem is Nick didn't use the word intimate when he talked about the date with the guys - that was an edit spliced in and you could clearly see by his lips that "intimate" wasn't what he said. IMO what he actually said when viewers heard him say intimate was "romantic" - at least that was the best I could come up with by lip reading.

The fact that the show spliced the word "intimate" in suggests to me that they wanted it to appear to viewers that Nick lied to Kaitlyn when he told her he didn't say it was intimate - which is interesting by itself - why did they want to make it look like Nick lied to her?

Of course if my lip reading is right and he did say "romantic" when he talked to the guys then he still lied to Kaitlyn because he also told her he didn't say it was romantic.
